MOOG ES62L Steering Tie Rod End for Jeep CJ7

I happened to have several brands so decided to weigh them. Each: AC Delco Advantage 11.62oz., SKP 11.93oz., Moog 13.74oz. Do I know that the Moog is the best of the bunch based on weight? No, but it is a beefy tie rod end compared to the rest. That said, the boots on the SKP and the AC are fixed to the end (sealed to the end) and not removable. I actually like this feature as dirt and water will have literally no way to enter the ball joint unless the rubber fails in time. For the money, I am really impressed with the SKP and would buy those in the future unless a great deal on the Moog is to be had.

Well made. Threads are well cut. Socket and the Conic shape fit tight in the Steering arm. Quite happy! Would buy again. Boot is pretty thick- so i expect this to last a long time.

I paid for a new item, not a returned item. The box was oily and the part was clearly installed and then removed and repackaged. What a waste of my time.

Moog

Moog products are very good, they are much heavier duty than OEM, they cost a little more but when it comes to stuff like this just spend the money now and dont look back, on the bottom of the rod its stamped moog the problem solver.

I’d probably use zipties before moog again.
