This little Guy is Impressive
Added this lil baby in my 2019 Nissan Titan and it doesn’t disappoint!! I’ve read the other reviews but the sound quality is actually based on how well you tune it and the placement for sound circulation in your cab;under-seat was optimal. I bypassed the high level converter on the unit and went with an aftermarket PAC hi low converter to feed the audio inputs. At first the sound was unimpressive with both channels of the RCA input into the unit but in MONO channel mode ( one RCA in unit) the sound and bass output doubled. i recommend setting bass boost to high and gain to about 90% on the unit. then adjust your bass settings on your factory radio to your liking. lastly tune the unit’s integrated crossover somewhere in between 80-100 hz and enjoy!! NOTE:-If you’re not creative with wiring -professional installation is recommended; custom-sized wiring and some drilling to create firewall hole for running battery cable may also be needed.

Good for grownups who appreciate music
This is an affordable, quality subwoofer from a well known company. You can buy a cheap subwoofer of this type for about half the price and you can buy the Kicker version for about twice the price. I chose this one hoping to get a good balance of performance, quality, and affordability. BUT, if you don’t mind losing the trunk space, I think you can get better sound from a less expensive subwoofer.Form factor. This category of subwoofer seems to be aimed at people who want to enjoy their music, but don’t need to share their music with the entire block. This size of subwoofer gives you a lot of options as far as where you install it, I tried under both front seats and behind the back seats in my pickup truck and it fit in all those places.Sound quality. Definitely makes my music sound better. Placement in the vehicle makes a big difference. If you are looking for big powerful bass, you probably need to look at the other categories of subwoofer. But if you just want to fill in the lower octaves of your music, then these compact powered subwoofers might work for you.

Good for adding bass presence to factory stereo
I installed this basslink SM into a 2009 scion XB, which has a decent factory stereo with tweeters. The low end output wasnt great, and this basslink SM fills in the low end nicely. Dont expect booming bass, just bass presence. I honestly wish it was a bit more, but for how thin it is, it does the job fine.My other vehicle has a 12" infinity sub and 800w alpine monoblock amp, dont expect anything close to a real subwoofer. I would compare the output of this to having good 6.5" or 6x9" speakers running off a 400 watt amp, without the hassle of installing new door speakers, wiring, amplifier and dynamat to lessen door panel rattles from the high output speakers.I have the gain turned to about 66% and the bass boost at 50%. Don't crank the gain up too high in pursuit of booming bass, you'll just burn the unit out, like some other reviewers seem to have done. I found a lot better bass response by running it 180 degrees out of phase as well. One last thing, dont run this off high level inputs, it ruins the sound quality. Pony up for a deck with line level outs, or dont bother. One other thing to consider, if you're mounting this under the seat, keep in mind that most vehicles have heater vents under the seat. As you can see from the picture attached to my review, I used some compressed dryer vent tubing to direct the floor vent air out from under the basslink to avoid overheating the amplifier.

Overall underwhelming and Unreliable Lasted only 4 Years
Ran it hard for 4 years and it finally died, I liked it on some songs a lot and other songs not so much. I bought this because didn't want to lose space with a regular sub box, but the bass is not always enough and never enough when the volume is up in a crew cab truck. It didn't last long enough to give it a good rating. but not 102 bucks in feb 2021 now it's more than twice that in feb 2025

For the lazy person who just wants a quick fix
Infinity is known for making premium audio products for both automotive and non automotive markets. Audiophiles across the globe swear by the name but unfortunately, this 8-inch 125W RMS powered sub is a complete waste of money. At the right volume level, it gives a little thump. Outside of that, don't expect by installing this sub that you can shame your neighbor's Bose equipped Mazda CX5. As the Jamaicans would say, wheel and come again.

Perfect to add a good amount of bass
I upgraded my speakers/HU for my 2010 Subaru WRX and although they sounded much better than stock it was missing a little punch. Originally I tried a Clarion SRV 250 and it just didn't give the low end bass I was looking for. Quickly swapped it out for this and it made a huge difference. Great sound to add a little bit of low end (much louder than I expected) plus it sits under the passenger seat nicely and doesn't take up trunk space. It's not compatible to a 10 or 12" system in a large box, but it works great to give your car a fuller sound. If mine went out today, I would buy another

Love this slim sub!
I had bought this slim sub to replace a cheap one that finally gave up. The Infinity was easy to set up part because I just unplugged the old and plugged up the new. The difference was in the sound. The Infinity sounded very good. Made me me realize how not so good the old one sounded. The old saying is true.....you get what you pay for. The sound is worth the price. I installed this sub in a 67 Camaro RS convertible so there isn’t much space under the seat. I had to use half inch spacers to lift the seat. Happy buyer.

Good little subwoofer for smaller applications
I had this installed into the floor board area of a Mazda MX5. It sounds very good for its size - I am happy with the final result in the sound system. I would recommend it for any tight areas that need bass.
