MY hubby was recently made Head of School (Principal) of a local Christian school. Since he has been teaching in Special Education and coaching most of the past few years, he decided he needed to up his game wardrobe-wise. So, to that end, for his birthday he requested socks – good socks, specifically Gold Toe socks – for his dressier clothes.I ordered him a pack of the brown (lighter brown but not tan) and the black. No navy, please, as he cannot tell the difference between navy and black socks (true story!). These elegantly designed socks will help him make the professional statement that he desires to, and needs to with his attire. He knows already that they are comfortable, soft and fit him nicely. That is why he specifically wanted these socks.These long socks are well made, light weight enough to be comfortable even in the heat and humidity in South East Texas, even when wearing dress clothes and dress shoes. I haven't purchased new Gold Toe socks in years. Thought it was time to freshen the sock stock. These are a light, comfortable sock with conservative colors and design. Very versatile. They are mid-calf, but seem to stay up. But how will they wear? Time will tell. For now, these are a very good value. I hope to get about 2-3 years of wear from this group.

Second time I've bought these. Im retired and wear these mostly when working, out although you can wear as dress socks (as they are dress socks).They are durable and extremely comfortable. Not too long and a soft stretchy feel (if you are older, they are easy to put on and easy to take off). A little pricey but for me the comfort and thickness of the socks are just right and worth the price!

the box store where I buy dress socks doesn't seem to carry them anymore. So I ordered these on line. They seem to be good quality and fit as expected.

The sizing on this states 6.5-12 for men's large. I typically wear between size 8 and 9, so this seemed like the right size for me. Unfortunately, the heel of the sock landed midway up my achilles tendon, leaving an ugly bulge of fabric outside of my shoes.
