AeroGarden Bounty Elite - Platinum

Arrived 1 day ahead of schedule, which was great! Packaging is really good and all of the parts feel of Excellent quality! Setup was super easy and quick, with most of the time being spent on figuring out what to grow first ;) This item is the perfect size for a countertop but the light is Super Bright, so make sure you are ready for that! Overall, I highly recommend this garden for any person looking for a quality product, that is easy to setup and get going, and minimal maintenance/worries.

Aerogarden costs more for a reason. My previous Aerogarden worked great and produced tons of tomatoes, basil, etc. It broke down after many years of use and I decided to try a generic brand. It was a big mistake and nothing grew well in it so I finally spent the extra money to get this one and moved over my bell pepper plants. Now I get tons of bell peppers! And it's definitely upgraded from before, much easier to add water now and keep track of things.

I am a beginner indoor gardener and I am so in love with my AeroGarden Bounty Elite!!! The growth of my herbs and veggies are amazing. I am sad to see AeroGarden going out of business. This is truly an amazing Hydroponics Growing Machine!

After 4 months… completely dead. I’ve read on forums this is a common occurrence. The back connections started sparking. Horrible customer service so far as well. Very disappointed.

Great product. This is my 2nd bounty. Love both. Using 1 for salads and the other to start vegetables for transplanting.

BACKGROUNDThis is our second hydroponics "farm", having also tried the much more DIY/manual iHarvest system (which we had great results with, has loads more room, but is an unholy nightmare to maintain). We have some experience with balancing nutrients, pH levels, etc.PROS- This does a great job of blocking light from the reservoir, meaning far less (essentially no) algae buildup over time.- It's compact and the telescoping light is great- Runs more or less silently- Great scheduling functions built in- Decently user-friendly interface- Very easy to take apart and clean- Easy to maintainCONS- The pods are proprietary and expensive... I recommend getting aftermarket pods and sprout seeds before transferring to the pods- Far too little space between pods... it has 9 slots, but unless you only grow to a seedling size, you'll have massive overcrowding. We end up using only 4 slots (the middle row), and even that involves some crowding- Reservoir size (pretty small) means you'll be refilling frequently if you have moderately grown plants (even with only a few). You'll want to cut growth way back before going on any sort of vacation.- The touch screen is pretty fiddly, especially when trying to set the clock/schedule.CONCLUSIONI'd still recommend it... but more for like growing a couple/few herbs or something. Don't go into it thinking you can grow 9 of anything, because that's not even close to realistic. I wish they had a larger, more spaced out version that looked as clean/attractive.I'd give this a 3.5/5 if I could... it's just "OK" IMO.

I have an areo garden that I got 2 years ago love it! But this is a Christmas gift so I have not opened it. So I will have to up date later.
