Q: Can the light be turned off? I want to use this by my bedside at night but not be bothered by a light. Is that possible?

No,the linght can’t be turned off.I think the blue light can clarify the air quality as well.

Q: Do you also sell the battery case to place it anywhere (as mentioned in one of the pictures)?

No batttery, just plug into electrical outlet.

Q: Noticed no filter option. Does it still catch dust particles? How is it cleaned?

It does have a small plastic screen to catch dust it’s not very big but this doesn’t suck through a lot of air it is for small spaces like bathrooms. To clean filter you undo one screw on base and pull out filter wash under tap and put back - very easy.
