Anybody who gave this product five stars simply does not know very much about strike indicators. The poor reviews are right on target - the indicator does slide down the leader, which is annoying. However, I discovered that if you jam part of a toothpick into the little rubber hose the indicator will stay put, and works very well.So it's not a five star, but with my modification it's not a one star either.

I've used all kinds of indicators while nymphing or fly fishing for trout, steelhead and salmon. These are the best indicators out there. Easy to slip on your leader and tighten. You will lose one one in a while but that's fishing. I especially like this larger size for all my salmon and steelhead fly fishing where I may have to add a little more split shot to get it down to the fish. I have these indicators in all 3 sizes.

These strike indicators are well made and easy to use in spin fishing for trout.

Just what I was looking for..

These are easily adjustable to different depth of water but they also have a tendency to move when casting. Really not a bad product but I do wish they could be made more secure on the leader. I just loop the leader around the indicator and this makes the indicator more secure.
