Q: Can the whistle be removed?

The whistle cannot be removed from the Clyde kettle. If interested in a silent kettle, our Stagg and Raven kettles do not feature whistles.

Q: Will the kettle work with induction?

Did not work on my induction cooktop. That is why I returned it.

Q: I used this once and now it has a line around it about an inch from the bottom. It is no longer flat. Is that supposed to happen?

Nothing supposed to happen outside the teapot. I’ve had mine for 7 month everything still okay. So I don’t think it is ok😏

Q: What are the materials?

All of our kettles are made with high grade 304 stainless steel. The black matte kettle is coated in an FDA food safe high-temperature paint, which is baked onto the stainless steel. All of our lids are made of BPA free, FDA food safe, polypropylene plastic.
