Serious question: does this have any religious or bible quotes anywhere on the tool?

I've had two MISTI's for years and never noticed a Bible quote! Might have to go find it to see what all the fuss is about. It's a wonderful stamping tool...that's really all you need to worry about...IMHO!

How much of a problem is the cover not giving enough for clear stamps?

You take the stamping plate off and flip it around. One side works best for clear stamps and one side works best for rubber stamps. No need to deal with foam etc. it’s brilliant

I am getting ready to purchase an originil misti but then i saw this. will/can anybody give me their opinions on which one is the best to buy?

I absolutely love my Tim Holtz stamping platform. It doesn't have a ridge around the open sides so you can have paper hanging out easily. I like how you flip the lid for clear stamps vs red rubber stamps. I will give one tip: use a sheet of watercolor paper to lay down for best results with clear stamps. I refuse to pay the Misti prices when I think this one is better!

Why is my stamp not connecting with the paper?

Are you using the right configuration of the clear panel? One side is for rubber stamps, the other side for acrylic. Whatever word is facing up is the correct side for that type of stamp. (The clear panel lifts off easily when put at a 45 degree angle to the platform)I hope this helped, and you find this stamp press as handy as I have!
