I bought the set in Amazon and I used it when I got it. The watermelon slicer is simple but very useful machine that works excellent. When compared to a knife, I found it to be far much better, since it brings out perfect shapes of watermelons, and one can easily have same size of watermelon shapes as desired. I would advise anyone who needs perfectly cut water melon pieces, to try out the watermelon slicer. The shapes come out perfectly for any type of salad preparation, and also for having a well sliced fruit for your guests. I used it for my son’s birthday when preparing an Asian fruits salad which I got from a watermelon recipe eBook and one of my quests was curious as to how I had come up with such perfect slices, unlike hers where she uses the knife and rarely get them to be of the same size! I demonstrated to her how to use the watermelon slicer and she got surprised by the sheer simplicity of the machine and its functionality. You can also use the melon baller, which is a knife that curves creative watermelon shapes. The simple machine is much less prone to accidental cuts compared to the knife, of which one can cut themselves if they are not careful. I used for the same birthday party also the melon baller and it was very good, actually I got some ideas of recipes from the E-Book that I got as bonus and it was delicious. It is a great set and great deal!

I got myself thinking that this year I really needed to change my diet and try more fruits and vegetable. I took a copy of an eBook “Watermelon Recipes” and decided to try them out. I brought in all the ingredients and the biggest challenge was on getting the creative shapes on the eBook I tried, but I couldn’t get anything closer to that. I called my friend and he told me that I should get myself a watermelon slicer and melon baller. The words sounded strange. I went on amazon and searched got the two kitchen tools, luckily I got them and made a purchase. When they were deliver, I got them into work, the watermelon slicer is an amazing tool, and it slices up the watermelon with ease a very easy and reliable tool to use, which is also very safe. On the other hand, I used the melon baller to make some melon balls. The curving was so easy and very safe, this is not the type of tool that you can cut your fingers with. The watermelon slicer and the melon slicer, are very safe kitchen tools to use that saves time in slicing of the melon, and curving the melon into creative shapes. I would refer anyone who is looking for nice working and safety tools for slicing and shaping the melon to try out the two water melon slicer and melon baller. I would highly recommend the tools.

I’ve seen similar designs to this come out very recently. I had my eye on another set with the same tools, but these were more cost-effective for me at the time. All I have to go by to compare are the pictures of other ones, and one thing stood out to me right off: this tool was uncomfortable in my hand. It’s like gripping salad tongs that have no comfort curvature. When I finally got a watermelon and cut it open, I right away started with the slicer. Unfortunately, it performed worse than expected. I could not maintain enough pressure down and around to cut a full slice of watermelon. In fact, I was barely halfway down! My hands can be a bit more sensitive, so I handed them to my roommate who has much tougher, thicker hands, but she had the same problem. The both of us had deep red marks where we pressed on the handle and it hurt us both too much to keep trying. The next tool was much more simple - the melon baller and carver. This performed just fine, and after a bit of tinkering I figured out how to carve with the opposite end and had great result. It glides into the melon rind with ease, allowing you to make a decorative bowl in very little time at all. So for that alone I give two stars, but since the main show was the watermelon slicer, I do not recommend this set. There are better sets out there that won’t cause pain. I received this product at a discounted price for my unbiased review.

After getting a watermelon recipe eBook I decided to try it out for my guest who were coming for my wife’s birthday on a Friday. I knew from before that I wasn’t good at cutting outslices from the watermelon. I handed her the four large watermelons I had just bought from the mall a few hours before, big and juicy as she had wanted. I watched her work with amazing results, the slices of watermelons came out in same thickness, and were very fine, she called the machine a watermelon slicer, and I was shocked. She went on to use another tool that looked more of an improved knife, which curved heart shaped watermelon pieces with an amazing perfection. This she told me was the watermelon baller. I was amazed by not only the shape, but also the ease at which she curved the shapes.I did not wait any longer, the next day I shopped online for the simple machines, from that day, I have never had any problems with having nicely curved watermelon pieces. I always look forward to surprise my guests and family members! I highly recommend the watermelon slicer and melon baller, they are amazing products.
