Very good axe.
I didn't want a lightweight axe; that is why I bought this one. Everyone (that has experience using an axe) knows not to twist the handle sideways pulling it out. Even when the handle wears out you can replace it, not fiberglass ones.

with a 4 pound head and long handle it makes short work of the chores, so for now its good, but only time will tell if its great

Great long handle axe
I've been using this axe for a full firewood season and like it very much. The length is just right for me and the balance is good. I haven't had to sharpen it yet so it keeps a good edge. I have used it for light splitting duty for fir and cherry. I'm very happy with this axe.

Quality ax made in Mexico
This is a heavy axe just what I needed for light duty wood splitting wen a 6 or 8 pound maul is not needed the handle is outstanding made in USA the head Mexico very nice I have looked at a ton of axes in this price range made in India or China this blows them away the rounds just explode with this axe the shape works well I can't tell you how well the edge holds up for wood splitting edge holding is not that important would buy again definitely,.
