Good headset
IF you have a Cisco IP Phone, and I'd imagine an Avaya, or other kind of IP Phone, you DO NOT NEED an apmlifier for this headset. Simply get the quick-connect adapter. YOU NEED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! The quick-connect adapter has a volume control on it to set the microphone volume. USE IT. All the complaints on here are likely from people who haven't set up this headset correctly.Now, that being said, this headset is replacing a GN2100 series from GN Netcom (Jabra bought them). The Jabra headset seems to have a tad more bass in it than the Netcom had. I'll likely adjust.Still, good quality headset for conference calls and day to day use.

Thank heavens I didn't pay for it!
At my new job I got this headset because I moderate several weekly business meetings. Initially, I could not be heard when speaking and then when I turned up the volume everyone said I sounded like I speaking from the bottom of a bucket. I've had to go back to the telephone handset and that really hampers my ability to type notes while a conversation is going on. Really disappointing...

Great headset
I purchased this to replace a headset that I used at work for 8 years. It's too soon to tell if this one will last as long as my previous headset, but so far I'm pretty happy with it. The sound quality is good, and people can hear me very well, even with others in my office talking. I'm using it with the GN8000 amplifier.Amazon had the best price on this, saving me anywhere from 10-40 dollars as compared to other vendors.Pretty satisfied and would buy again.

No good if you plan on someone hearing you.
Sadly, not a good product. A few of the reviews below said that people on the other end said it sounds like the headset user is talking far away, one said "you've been warned". this was recommended so I purchased anyway. Well, the reviews are correct. Will be returning and looking for another product.

Great headset
We have been using this headset for years in our call center. After several years the wire does begin to crack and frey, but 3 years of daily use is pretty good. The boxes the headsets plug into tend to be the problem when experiencing communication issues. Poeple often mis-diagnose or don't do a good job troubleshooting the issue and incorrectly identify the headset as the cause. Great product....we'll continue to purchase these.

Jabra corded Headset review
My order came through on time and works perfectly with my Panasonic KXTG6512 cordless phone system. This headset requires the Jabra 1005143 Netcom Qd To 2.5MM Stereo Plug adapter cable to connect with this Panasonic phone. Callers say the volume level is fine and the sound reproduction is clear. NOTE: go to the Jabra site and use their Compatibility Guide to see if your phone will work with their headsets.

Can You Hear Me Now? I didn't think so. :-{
1. It does not come w/ an attachment so you can connect it to your landline phone [which is stupid]. I had to contact the manufacturer directly [twice] to get them to send a connector free of charge.2. You nearly have to scream so that the party on the other end can hear you.3. I had to remove the ear piece cushion so that I could hear people on the other end w/ volume cranked up as high as I could get it. Uncomfortable.4. A waste of $60.00(+) bucks, yet I need it until I can find a better, more reasonably priced headset [that's the 1 star part].You have been warned, peeps!!!

Make sure it fits your phone. I paired it with the Jabra Digital Phone Headset Amplifier and it works just fine. I'm a bit hard of hearing and it does help 90% of the time. It sometimes gets tangled in my hair. I put a think hair tie around the end to help with that. Would I buy it again? Yes.
