SHIMANOSM-RT66 Deore/SLX Disc Brake Rotor - 6 Bolt - 203mm

Was better than the stock tektro rotor. Part felt higher quality. Was easy to install. Braking was as good as before without the wobble (had warped rotor before).

I purchased the 203 mm rotor as an upgrade my 180 mm shimano rotor. Also purchased the shimano adapter. Rotor looks nice and works well. Thinking about purchasing another to upgrade the rear as well.

I recommend it to everyone!

Rotor arrived in genuine shimano packaging, however with the China stamp unlike the product photo. Shimano does make rotors in China, so I'm not suggesting they are not genuine, but in case you are looking for Japan made rotors and were sold by the photo like me, keep looking.

You should know that the adapter must read “180mm” and that it fastens to the forks with larger machine screws than attach the caliper to the adapter. Also the orientation of the adapter is critical. The 180 mm disc attachment to the bicycle hub is straightforward, with 6 machine screws. Note: the brake caliper on the rigid forks of the Trek Dual Sport +2 is unique in that it attaches directly to the forks without an adapter, and if that caliper fails, no other caliper in existence will fit. It’s “one of a kind”.

Yes it’s made in China not Japan. Easy to install. Not bent. After bedding I’m more worried about how well it brakes. Have yet to trail test. Good product!

If you ride an electric bike, or tandem, this oversized rotor will offer superior braking. You do need to purchase an adapter, however, but you will notice increased stopping power. I'd recommend new brake pads as well, since the tire is already removed and it is very easy to install disc brake pads.
