Engraved at the ornate carved base "Jerusalem". The smooth, curved dark wooden handle will fit easly in your hand. This ornate bell lends joy and gladness. Capture the essence, history and spirituality of these unique bells; * The use of bells is mentioned four times in the Old Testament of the Bible. Exodus 28:33-35 describes the vestments worn by the high priest Aaron as he approached the Arc of the Covenant in the Holiest of Holies, they created a joyful sound to God. Bells were long thought to possess apotropaic powers, or the power to ward off evil spirits. The bells were seen as tools to be used to avert dangers to the high priest before he entered the Holiest of Holies. Bells were also used to signify adoration to God during early times, {Zechariah 14:20} "And on that day there shall be inscribed on the bells of the horses, "Holy to the Lord". "Praise Him with sounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!" Bells were rung during services to create a joyful noise to the Lord as described in Psalm 98:4: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! * A Seven Branches Menorah (candelabrum) used to be lit with Olive Oil in the Tabernacle and the Temple in Jerusalem. The Menorah is one of the oldest symbols of the Jewish people. The Torah states that God revealed the design for the Menorah to Moses. There were seven branches; one for each day of the week with Sabbath being in the Middle. Every bell is unique one of a kind because it is Hand painted.
