Spray max2K Hot Rod Satin Black Spray Paint,Automotive Topcoat With Long Lasting and Durable Finish, High Chemical and Weather Resistance,2 Pack

This paint is expensive but worth it to me!! I spruced up some rear parts on my mustang. I'll never use regular rattle can paint again on anything I do for my classic cars. This is a 2K paint. Read all instructions that can be found online, DO NOT use without a proper respirator!!!!!!Of course I used the same brand epoxy primer on the bare cleaned metal before the final Hot Rod Black Satin coat.

Painted the rock sliders on my Rubicon. Went on nice and even. Good coverage, used one can on both sliders, three three coats each. Nice satin finish. Not quite as strong as a powder coat but much stronger than the quick Rust-Oleum repairs i would do on a whim. I'm definitely going to do my front bumper this summer. I did warm the can in a hot water bucket prior to using.

Been through a journey with 2K Hot Rod Satin. Initially I had inconsistent results. Some users here indicate to warm the product prior to spray--this did not work for me at all. Heating seems to just "kick" the catalyzation of the paint and make it flash dry during spray. I would strongly advise against doing anything other than what's specified on the Spray max website's instructions. A second can popped its lower activator tab and had paint leak out the bottom, I made the mistake of spraying this out and it didn't properly catalyze. So if the can is punked, toss it immediately. I called the company and they very generously and quickly sent a 6 pack of new paint cans and were helpful in discussing how to apply the product. Finally got the project done with the new cans and I have to say the paint looks great, better than other wheel paints. You have to spray with some precision, the paint needs to lay close to the way you want the finish to look and then it does the rest--really excellent results that are very close to black powder coat. And the company really stands behind its product. Wasn't easy but got where we needed to go...

Great product

Just received 2 cans of Hot Rod Satin Black. After activating the can, it started leaking all over the place. I tried the second can and got the same result. There is no way to return or exchange.

Not a good product drips everywhere.

Great coverage, clearly a difference from the cans you get at a big box store. As close to professional as you can get in a can. Make sure to Wear proper PPE and keep good ventilation In the work area.

Works pretty good but a can doesn’t go very far. Seems to go about half as far as normal rattle can.
