American Electricians' Handbook, Seventeenth Edition

This is one of the most helpful and informative books on Electrical installations, that I have ever read. The author does a fantastic job of providing clear and concise explanations, with tons of great images. I’d recommend for every Electrician and Electrical Engineer to have a copy of this book, it will be my gift to all new Electricians or EE graduates. A fantastic and consolidated resource. Two thumbs up, five stars for this book!

I was concerned after reading the 1-star reviews saying the index was wrong. I received the book and at first-glance, the index was off. HOWEVER- the index format is Division & subpart, NOT PAGE NUMBER!“The numbers referenced in the Index represent the division and section number, not the page number. For example, an Index reference to 10-57 means Div. 10, Sec. 57. Since within each division all section numbers are placed in numerical order, there should be no difficulty in locating any section number.At the beginning of each division is a table of contents which describes the various topics within the division. These are listed by page numbers.”For example, “Aluminum, Conductivity of” is listed in the Index as 2-19 – but it’s on page 2.9.

Information provided is supported by good images, pictorials, schematics, formulas, examples, charts, etc.*Tip: For those trying to maneuver this reference book, Table of Contents - Lists by Division and Page#. The Index - Lists by Division and Division Section 😉Only Negative: The damn thing is not light weight 😂
