Good and insightful grammar book
This book makes learning and reviewing grammar easy. I bought it as a required textbook for a college class. It is physically large, but it’s a good book. Reading it helped me learn the difference between different grammar structures and increased my attention to detail.

Mostly good
I think this book is better for those that have somewhat of a foundation in grammar and punctuation. It assumes a little knowledge of the basics, while glossing over them briefly in its definitions. The best example of this is the first section on finding nouns, verbs, and subjects. Helping verbs, linking verbs, participles, and gerunds are briefly described, even though they make up such a vital aspect of sentence construction. My personal opinion is that these could have been elaborated on a lot more, even to the point of having an entire section devoted them.Additionally, this book relies on memorizing rules, which is quite boring. Other grammar books teach in a much more conversational tone. I'm thinking of Barron's Painless Grammar, which teaches in a way that feels like a conversation; whereas, this one reads more like a rule book.Other than those minor quibbles, the book is great. Assuming one already had a foundation, I'd use it as a primer for college or the workplace, or as a refresher course. If you are trying to build a grammar foundation from scratch (like I was), I would look elsewhere.Four stars seems appropriate to this reviewer. That's just my opinion; it's not gospel.

It’s a yes for me
The media could not be loaded. I love having this book, the information is on their website and you can book the book for quite a bit less. I wanted the spiral enough to warrant the price. It’s well worth it.

Best Grammar Book for Beginners!
For my money, this is the best grammar book on the market--clear, to the point, filled with examples, rooted in the real world . . . What's not to like? Each topic is clearly explained and carefully arranged. The lessons follow a logical sequence, and the typography is easy on the eyes. Highly recommended!

Great starting point, but not as comprehensive as I would've liked!
I would rate the Blue Book four stars. While it contains a comprehensive set of rules, it lacks detailed explanations of said rules. Some of the quizzes also have questions that do not align with the provided rules (such as the absence of clarification on terms like 'most' and 'more' in the Subject-Verb Agreement section). Additionally, there is a lack of coverage on certain topics like possessives, plurals, and quiz-identifying clauses. Additionally, the organization could be improved by separating topics such as dangling modifiers, parallel structure, and wordiness into distinct sections rather than grouping them. (I understand many quizzes and blogs on the website, but much should have been covered in the book.)Moreover, the Blue Book could benefit from more interactive learning elements to engage users effectively. Including visual aids could enhance the learning experience and help solidify the understanding of complex grammar concepts. By incorporating a variety of learning modalities, the Blue Book could cater to a broader range of learners and make the study of grammar more engaging and practical.
