There's always been a debate between what a systems budget should be for cables. If you have a nice set up you may as well spring for nice cables because it's not like you won't need them. These however definitely fall into the affordable category and after one day in my rig I can't say for sure there is a sound difference. I mean I'm listening right now and it's pretty dialed in so who knows. All i can say is they look to be good quality from China. One thing, they are quite stiff so you may have to wrestle with it a bit. They also look cool so there's that

I would have returned it if it didn't improve sound quality, they offer 30-days to get your money back but I kept it--and ordered more. I realize not everyone has the ears to be able to hear differences, nor does everyone have the setup that would reveal changes from swapping power cords but if you do, these are likely to make a difference for you. I did an AB comparison on my amp and the power cord it came with smeared the sound compared to the WAudio cable. The WAudio sounded more open, it had more separation, and improved imaging. So I ordered another one for my pre/pro. Wow, just wow. With WAudio power cables on both my pre/pro and amp it really made a difference in my setup. Everything that was improved was improved more, and now voices sound like they are literally singing in the room and not a recording. I can close my eyes and it's eerily lifelike. People pay thousands of dollars to swap amps or preamps to get sonic improvements like this, but I spent under $100. I'm not getting paid to review these power cords, but maybe I should be. These won't work for everyone, again you have to have detailed hearing and the equipment. I was dubious about them, and I would have used the 30-day return policy, but I'm more than happy with the results.

I was looking for a decent, affordable cable for my incoming, "Chi-Fi" linear power supply and stumbled upon WAudio. While waiting for the LPS to ship from China, I figured I'd test run the cable on my Yamaha AS-1100 amplifier. Before I did anything, I wanted to inspect the build quality, and I'm glad I did. Perhaps just a one off experience, but when I opened the plug up I discovered stray wire strands on the hot wire that were not secure in the clamp and the ground wire was not fully screwed down. Connections at the other end were fine. The wire gauge does seem less than 10AWG but still plenty thick. Tons of insulation and a nice mesh shield as advertised. Be careful with the screws for the outer casing. They were starting to strip when I put everything back together. Plug connection is solid inside of thr receptacle. Connection at the amp is a little loose, but it could be my amp. As someone who never believed power cables could make a difference, I was suprised to hear a difference with this cable. With my high efficiency, very revealing klipsch Forte speakers, the highs and mids are noticibly more forward (almost to a fault) and stereo imaging sounds more focused and detailed. I have some more listening to do, but cymbals and snares sound almost slightly distorted. Klipsch Fortes are not forgiving speakers and can really make your ears bleed from fatigue with certain amps. The softer, tolerable nature of my AS-1100 that I liked became quite harsh with the WAudio cable, which was my first indicator that something was different. I enjoy the clarity, but my ears are done after just a few albums. Overall, not bad for the price. I dont think I could have done it cheaper DIY and the components are nice for the price. I may order a second cable, but will definitely be checking the connections again.

LIke: Very well made, exudes quality, didn't take away anything from the sound Dislike: Plug size makes it hard to plug two side by side, didn't make my system sound better, but wasn't expecting it to Summary: I know this sounds vain, but the way I have my system set up, is I have two monoblocks underneath my mains and use these cables to go to the power conditioner. Since my setup is a good two feet from the wall, it looks much better having these then standard black power cords. Hey... I'm an honest audiophile! Fare warning: When using a power conditioner and you want to plug these into the "high current" outlets, which are usually side by side, the plug sizes make it extremely difficult to do that due to their size. In fact, one of them is slightly bent in, but it still works and is in their tight. Can't really fault these specific power cords for that as most "high end" power cords have these large round terminations. Honestly, I didn't have huge expectations, but I wanted to make sure that this cable didn't add any form of tone control, which I heard others do. If I'm completely honest, my system sounds the same... no clearer highs or tighter bass, but I spent large amounts of time already tuning my system, so it already sounded close to ideal enough for me. And this is weeks after ordering the product... so please don't mention break in. If, in the upcoming months, I experience a glorious epiphany and realize that these gold adorned dark mistresses of sound release an acoustical explosion of bliss unlike anything I've heard before, then I'll update this review... or die from ecstasy.

Product made with superior materials than a standard power cord. A bit thicker and stiffer than standard cord but very workable.
