Bought it because it looked fairly interesting compared to the Bic lighters that we could probably build an entire planet out of by this point since they've been so mass-produced. It also sounded nice just being able to charge it as compared to buying a whole new lighter once the fuel or flint ran out.It works actually really well for lighting cigarettes, gives them a unique taste that's nothing like matches or lighters. It works best with full-flavored, since with any kind of menthol it overpowers the menthol taste.Lighting cigars is basically out of the question. You'll get them to light but by the time the burn is even, you'll have gone through the entire thing.Where this lighter really shines is on things like receipts and bits of newspaper you'd use for starting fires when you have a load of boxes to burn. They go up QUICK. Faster than you'd really expect them to.It comes pre-charged and will not fire if the lid is closed on it. Let's out kind of a high-pitched whine but it's not loud enough to really disturb anyone or be overly annoying.Overall it's a really nice lighter. You'll probably see a lot more like this once we get to the point where you can't walk 20 feet without finding a USB charging station. For now, though, it's a nice curiosity and will definitely catch a few eyes.

This is a real cool toy but impractical due to the arc being confined to a tiny gap between the two nodes. With patience it can be used to light an adequately long candle wick so it is perfect for someone who only needs the occasional flame for birthday candles etc. It would be highly impractical for direct use igniting most things.

This thing is really neat. I think our family sat around taking turns being amazed by this lighter lol. This is a fun gift to give.

Gave this as a gift after buying two other brands and receiving broken products. This one worked great right out of the box. Arrived with a charge even so we didn't have to charge it before trying out the lighter. The shape and weight are very comfortable and comparable to an actual lighter. Not heavy or bulky.

functions well, very nice durable rough powder coat like finish. Almost like a spray on truck bed liner.

Good quality and does the job well, been using it for a week now and the charge stays for a good time 4 to 5 days,And charging this thing is only about a couple of hours....
