Legendary tool. Bought it as it was lightweight and had a range of tools. 500km into a cycle tour my chain jumped, front derailleur moved and the front cable to change front rings snapped. I was gutted and it literally was in the middle of nowhere, I was able to make a quick fix in about 15-20 minutes. I was impressed by the tool having everything I needed, short of a bike mechanic to do it for me.

I've acquired a few Pro Bike Tool items and they've all been great so far, this included. It's got all (well most!) of the bits you need to get by when out on your bike, and all in a very compact package.It comes in a nice little case, and when I got it I was surprised by just how small it was - I thought it might not give me the leverage I needed, but it's better than I expected. It it rather heavy though, in comparison to its size, but the engineering is delicious. Given the size of my fat backside I'm not going to let the weight worry me. I got it to replace a rather old Topeak bike tool, which had roughly the same tools on and had served me very well. I only mention it because it was more of a penknife style and the sides came off to act a tyre-levers, something the Pro Bike Tool doesn't have and could be very useful if you still use inner tubes. No consequence at all if you run tubeless of course. A lovely bit of kit. If you buy one you will defo take it out and stroke it occasionally.

Really handy multitool for biking. Small form factor and light. Well made. Only thing it would benefit from would be a small pliers. Original had this at 5 however clearance is a problem with some of the tools. I wasn't able to adjust my front derailier high or low position with the tool as the bit was not long enough. I can see this being a problem for the rear also. I've since lost this tool by leaving my saddle bag open and ordered another Identical one. I also carry a 2mm allen key for derailer adjustment.

First impressions are very positive. Compact enough to fit in saddle bag or cycle jersey pocket. Quality seems very good. Hopefully I won’t need to test it for a while!

It's a bit costly, but you'll get a really nice, lightweight multitool with no nonsense packaging and lots of functionality. I never owned a multitool before, so I had no idea you can remove the head of one of the Hex bits, that's very clever. Used the chain breaker to size a new chain, it worked without problems. The bottle opener also works just right, it's integrated into the chain breaker. You need to unscrew the chain splitter almost all the way, then use the small piece of metal at the end while lifting the tool up. This is the second purchase from this brand for me, if you're browsing around for bike accessories, I can only recommend them. The brand name might make you think the kit they sell is questionable, but it's just as good as a more known brand.

Good quality and thoughtful design

An edit to say PBT customer support reached out and offered me a full refund based on the below issue I had. I've upped the review on the basis that you can buy with confidence of support - just don't lose the bit like I did as you can't get replacements! This is great, until the point you pop off the largest hex bit (it's a cap onto a smaller hex bit, so comes off the tool completely when you need the smaller one underneath) with wet, slippy hands - and the largest hex bit disappears into the grass never to be seen again. Have now ordered a different tool that doesn't have the same design.

This is the best bike tool I've ever used. I've had several others in the past and they're all either huge, heavy and all have fell apart. This is compact, solid and very well made. Well worth the price.
