ARM & HAMMER AH8300NEC 4.5oz Gel Air Freshener, New Car, 1 Pack

We finally got my daughter a used car! It's pretty sweet, but there was a problem – the previous owner apparently had a serious smoking habit. The car smelled like a chimney! Seriously, it was intense.We used the Arm & Hammer "New Car" smell eliminator, and wow, what a difference! It was amazing how quickly it worked – just two days and poof! The ashtray aroma was completely gone. Now it just smells like a normal, clean car.

Someone was smoking in my car without permission, and I bought this to help with the smell. It got rid of the smell instantly and left my car with a much more fresh pleasant scent!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This does not smell like new car at all. As soon as I got it, I had to throw it away. The smell was awful and unbearable.

I bought this for my large SUV to help combat the funky smells from my AC during Florida summers. Not only did it eliminate any trace, it's lasted about a month consistently and has yet to show signs of weakening.If my car sits for a day or two, the smell is a little strong, but it quickly normalizes after the air circulate. Overall, it's a great value; much moreso than the air vent clips, which seem to last just s few weeks. Installing was just removing a seal and putting it in the car. It only took a few seconds, and was very simple.It can be hidden away under a seat, but I didn't love that idea since it could slide or roll around; that led to my only real problem: the design--bright white plastic with a vibrant label--really sticks out in my otherwise-black car. It was challenging to find a place where it was both secure and out of sight. This isn't a deal breaker, but certainly a consideration when deciding if this will work well in your car.

Bought bc my car would hold the smell of whatever was eaten inside of it even if we threw everything away right afterwards and it lingered for dayssss; this absorbed the smells right away and made it smell so much better, love it!

This was intended to overcome a smell in the car. While it worked well at doing that, about 10 days after purchase the gel turned to a blue liquid. This spilled out of the container when driving over bumps etc and leaked the blue DYE like liquid on the interior of the car. Not exactly sure why it turned to liquid. Maybe from being warm then cold and warm and cold. But this is meant to remain in the car so I view that as a negative as for the cost this product should last longer than two weeks. I also rate lower due to the mess it made and the liquid is like a temporary dye. Stained my hands, clothes, and car interior blue until I had a chance to wash everything. Needless to say I switched to another brand but it sure doesn’t cover the smell like this one did but I just can’t go back to this one. So strange given for performing as intended however leas stars due to the said issues.

First it smells nothing like the normal new car smell. Second, it is a gel substance. The blue dye in it stains everything. When it first arrived i followed the instructions. Peeled the metal seal and popped the vent/lid back on. But the gel substance had separated some and the liquid ran down my finger and arms. I was stained blue for a day and a half.
