Why say have built in speakers in description and not have it ?

I agree. That was false/misleading advertising. All it has is audio pass-through via the HDMI cable from your PC, with audio-out jack to external speakers. I had to get a Trotronics stereo speaker after discovering the non-existant speakers from their tech support...

Does this monitor have internal speakers?

I'm connecting my Mac through HDMI 1, and using my internal speakers. It's supposed to output sound through the DisplayPort, but I don't have the cable to test this and be sure. You may have noticed that the 288E2E has a headphone port, so I'm not sure whether that's an alternate output for sound, or the only one.
