Love it, especially the fluff and jokes
Love love love all of CCs books! Not as dramatic as the Clockwork Princess or Lord of Shadows but if you love Malec, youāll love it. Also not much stakes because we already know spoiler Malec get married.

MALECCCC
Honestly, it was kinda cringe at times, and felt lore like a fanfiction, but we got Malec so all is good. Also, the endinggggg. Will it continue into TWP????

This is the story of Two men and their lovely relationship.
The story happens to be after Sebastian gets killed and shadow hunters have a cold peace with downworlder. Alec and magnus adopt a baby and have sweet little life but as usual his enemy Shinyun comes with Ragnor and attacks him with a weird thorn and stoles the lost book of white. The tmi team along with Magnus goes to Shanghai to retrieve the book and save Ragnor. But Shinyun being crazy stabs magnus with thorn once again and with third strike magnus gonna be under the influence of Sammael. So to stop that the whole Team along with other shadowhunter of Shanghai institute goes to Diyu (another hell dimension)to save Ragnor, Magnus, the book and stop Sammael from devouring earth. Will they able to save Ragnor and Magnus?Firstly will they able to fight against prince of hell? For this go ahead and read the lost book of white. Another adventure to hell š.šWhat I mostly loved about the book is?This book gave me nostalgic feels.Itās like I felt Iām in tmi series again which I missed mostly these days. The story is good enough but i expected a big fight but it just ended quickly.Mostly I love the epilogue because it talks about Lucifer and we gonna expect Lucifer in book3 which Iām totally excited about. With each book clary writes Malec relationship builds very much.šAnd this is the second LGBT book I read so far.I think Iām liking this genre.šAuthor:I love whatever Cassandra writes. Obviously she is my favorite author. Her writing is so simple that everyone can easily read. Thatās what I love most about. We can easily imagine the demons she describes in books.

Get Ready for an adventure in hell!
āIf you died,ā he said, āa part of me would die too. So remember, Magnus. Itās not just your life, itās my life too.āāLife is good for Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood. That is, until the night that two old acquaintances break into Magnusās apartment and steal the powerful Book of the White. Now Magnus and Alec will have to drop everything to follow the thieves to Shanghai. And Magnus has been stabbed with a strange magical weapon that is changing the very nature of his powers.Fortunately, they have backup in the form of Clary, Jace, Isabelle and Simon. In Shanghai, they learn that a much darker threat awaits them. Magnusās magic is growing unstable, and if they canāt stop the Demons flooding into the city, they might have to follow them all the way back to the source- the very realm of the dead.āThe Lost Book of the White is the second book in The Eldest Curses series that follows Magnus and Alecās adventures. The book takes place three years after the events of the first book, The Red Scrolls of Magic.Magnus and Alec struggle to find and stop a cult and keep up with their new relationship in the first book. A lot has changed for them since then and they have come a long way. They live together now and are raising their son Max (whom they adopted in Tales from the shadowhunter academy ) together. But since they lead a life that is filled with demons and Angels, they will have to do their duty one way or the other. After the Book of the White is stolen and Magnus has been stabbed, things start to change drastically for everyone. Portals are malfunctioning all over the world, Demons are following wherever they go and Magnusās magic is misbehaving in unexpected ways. We start in New York and the search for the book leads us to Shanghai. The writing covers an excellent imagery of Shanghai in so many beautiful ways. We explore the mundane streets and also the downworlder neighbourhood, and reading about both gave me a feeling that I was present there. We also go to a faerie book store called the Celestial Palace (yes, despite the cold peace) and the sunlit market (which is the only shadow market in the world that is organised during daytime) in Shanghai. There is a different aura of Shadowhunters in this place. They have a good relationship with downworlders and even faeries. I loved exploring the new place and its shadow world because usually we move around New York City, London and Los Angeles in the main book series and never see other places much. There is a lot of use for Chinese mythology in the book, demons to hellish realms, everything is set against the theme of Chinese mythology and exploring that was one of the best part about the book. Okay this is a very little spoiler, but I am still going to say it anyway- the same gang that goes to Edom, goes to another hell realm in this book! Itās honestly VERY adventurous.Okay end of spoiler LOL. Iāve become accustomed to the larger-than-life narrative in the recent Shadowhunter works and this one just set the bar high! It really amazes me that even after so many works, there is still so much scope left for the future Shadowhunter books and it barely feels exhaustive at all.The epilogue- of course Cassandra Clareās Epilogues have become better with each new book, and The Lost Book of the White was no exception. Itās incredible how the narrative of the Shadowhunter books includes larger forces at work in a certainly small setting.I have so much more to talk about this book but I cannot do that without giving out spoilers, so Iāll end my review here. My Instagram DMās will always be open to discuss the Shadowhunter books (lol, any books honestly). Also, this book marks my having read all the published Shadowhunter books and now Iāll have to wait for the next books to come out *gets very impatient*
