I purchased the 3 port capacity for my chickens. I just purchased a 5 gallon bucket with a lid from my local hardware store. The instructions included are very simple and clear. I was very impressed that included is a circular blade attachment for an drill. And I was able to set it all up without any assistance from anyone. This design really has completely eliminated any wasted food due to rain. I was hoping this would deter rodents, though it has not. At least I don't believe the rodents are able to get inside the bucket, but I'm not 100% sure, however, there is always some feed left on the ground, not too much though. I have my bucket elevated on a small stand, and when the feed runs low, there have been times when the bucket has toppled over, but typically it's sturdy and my hens have no issues eating from it. I love that you can select and size bucket/container that works for you, it's very versatile and has made my life much easier and I feel better that I've had no wasted feed.

I really like how this product keeps the chicken feeder dry even in the rain. It really prevents waste by keeping the chickens from just pulling food onto the ground. Very easy to install with the included hole saw. I added a screw top lid to make it easy to fill. Highly recommend!! As much as I really like the feeder is equally how I dislike the water attachment!! When you fill the bucket and attach the water bottom, the bottom always partially detaches and spills out a portion of the water. I find it tends to leak as well. Summary : Feeder great - Waterer not!!

Much better price than buying an entire feeder! Easy to install on a bucket I got at the local donut shop. Very functional and my chickens like it. The size is perfect for them since it comes with 3. Easy to clean and pretty thick plastic.

We've been using this system to feed our chickens for a long time, using a 5 gal bucket from TSC (or Lowe's or Home Depot) with a screw on gamma lid (makes refills much easier. Every once in a great while I have to replace a bucket due to damage of some sort, but the problem generally ISN'T due to the feed ports (bucket or lid gets cracked for example). Will continue to rely on these - install with the included hole saw only takes a few minutes.

Excellent product (both waterer and feeder) and support! I’ve been creating my own feeders for numerous years now at great expense using schedule 40 PVC elbows. The Poultry Pro Feeders are extremely simple to assemble and work well. The drinker base is an ingenious device as well. Very well thought out! I did have one of the two drinker bases that I ordered arrive cracked and unusable. However, when I reached out to Erik At Riverbend Resources, LLC , he promptly responded and send out a replacement. Top quality customer service. I highly recommend the products from Riverbend Resources, and will continue to use there products myself.

I was able to install 2 ports in less than 10 minutes. The provided hole saw was high-quality and cut easily. The mounting was very solid, with a gasket.

I changed my rating to 5 stars from 3 because while this didn't work for me with chicken scratch it works great with pellets which i never fed before. The chickens don't scratch it all out. I gave the product 3 stars because my reason for buying was to prevent waste and this did not do that. Rain proof, yes, easy to use, yes but way too much waste of food. I used a plastic dog food bin that holds 20lbs so I could see food level. I filled it half full yesterday and today more than half is spread on the ground. I have three hens. I really had hope to be able to give a glowing review. This is also the second time I have filled the feeder and had them scatter food out within a day. I bought the waterproof also but haven't set that up yet so no review on that.

No waste of food, chicken loves it!

Our chicken run was overrun with rats. I tried a variety of feeders but none proved to be rat resistant - until this one. I installed the plastic feeders in a big plastic bucket and hung it from a tripod so that the chickens have to stretch slightly to get at the feed. We haven't seen a rat in the chicken run for over two months. They just can't get at the feed and seem to have moved on.

Very easy to install. Very pleased with the product food stays clean far less wastage of chicken feed on the ground. everything seems to stay inside the container highly recommended and will purchase again.
