We loved this game. We already liked the more complex Betrayal at the House on the Hill game. This simplifies things, but only a little bit, so the game mechanic is not lost. It is good for older kids, not the little ones. Box says 8+ for age- I agree and add that it depends on the emotional/ behavioral maturity of the 8yr old. Our 8yr old in question probably should wait a year. We test played it 2x before deciding who we should invite to the table to play. We will plan on running a different game for the younger kids. I loved the Scooby Doo theme and so did my older son who watched the show. For kids that never watched Scooby Doo, it might be less exciting.

My wife and I play this with our 6 year old and she absolutely loves it and so do we, we'll worth buying perhaps one day will play the original with her when she's older.

I had bought this for my son for a Christmas gift. Based on reading the instructions, this game was a tad confusing to learn and figure out - I ended up watching a YouTube video of someone playing the game and that was a tremendous help! Once I had see someone else play we were able to play. And it was a blast. We had a great time with this game and was a great family fun activity. I highly recommend it. I have a 9 and 7 year old. The 7 year old was able to keep up- but she would not be able to be the role of the monster on her own. I would say even my 9 yr old struggled a bit- with the reading and trying to understand everything. All and all it was a fun activity and I think aged 10-12 would be best suited for this game.

A fun Scooby Doo themed game for game night. Easier to learn this than the main betrayal game.
