Brought this for my BMW X6. My last one failed and as the dealership wanted £600 plus fitting, thought I would do it myself. I also brought new handbrake shoes and fitting springs etc for the shoes. Must admit a bit of a fiddly job and took me about 4hrs to do, but was well worth it. The new handbrake works as described, although I did adjust the shoes up so they were just off biting before being applied. Also only applied when stationary or in auto mode. Have had installed for about 6 weeks now and all working fine. Time will tell if it was a good buy when it comes round to the MOT.

Purchased this item , fitted to car albeit 2 months later when I got round to it. It did not work. Thought it may just need set up or calibrated. Got a local bmw mechanic to plug in to set it up but to no avail. Would not communicate so no use.

Great value for money compared to the original BMW part. Well made and fitted car relatively easily works well and error cleared.

Amazing

Thought I was purchasing Bmw x6 comparable replacement cable system. Garage have fitted it. They cannot get warning light turned off. Handbrake will not work. I’ve just been on Amazon to look at compatibility with my bmw x6. It now states it is not comparable with my vehicle. I have wasted time and money on this

Had it fitted by a garage, passed the MOT and works. Due to the previous fault I have also replaced discs, pads and shoes. The part came in time but packaging not the best but works.

Fitted and works great. Far better tgan trying to fix old unit.

Very disappointed. Bought it in June, didn’t install until two weeks ago and it’s stopped working. Garage has told me the motor is gone in it. Pure scrap…don’t buy.
