Not junk - Fantastic Workmanship
I was in need of a torque wrench that would go to at least 150 lbs. I looked at Sears locally but they only had gimmicky electronic ones that were very expensive. After looking through Amazon I found the Neiko 1/2" drive 50-250 lbs wrench. I was very nervous in clicking the buy button as I was scared of getting a piece of Chinese junk. When I got the wrench I was VERY happy when I opened it. This thing is a precision piece of equipment!! It is made in Taiwan (I wish they'd tell you where things were made when shopping on-line). The workmanship is great. I've owned a lot of woodworking machines over the years and the stuff coming from Taiwan has gotten better and better. This is a perfect example of pride in workmanship. The wrench works great, adjusts easily, has a very nice locking mechanism to lock the adjustment so it doesn't change while in use. The thing is very long - 24" which I thought was the same as the short one I saw at Sears (didn't measure it) but that must be a 18" wrench because this thing seems very long. The length helped to make the 150lbs torque on my lug nuts easy. It also has a rubber handle that feels great in my hand. All in all this is THE WRENCH. I'm thinking of getting a smaller one for those under 50 lbs of torque applications and I'm looking no where else but at Neiko. I'll have this wrench the rest of my life and am VERY happy with this purchase. It's the best value out of just about anything I've purchased in the past year. Thanks Neiko, well done!!

Works
Solid feeling wrench, worked fine as I was using it on my car. The instructions have a conversion chart (ft lb to nm, etc), but I do wish they'd print Nm instead of kps as the secondary units. Setting torque is not hard to figure out although there is a misprint in my instructions. The shaft shows torque by increments of 5 (10, 20, etc on the left, 15, 25, 35, etc on the right). The twistable handle shows 0 to 4 along its circumference. So if you want 13 ft. lb. you twist until the 0 on the handle is lined up with 10 on the shaft, then continue twisting until the 3 is lined up. You now have 10 + 3 = 13 ft lb. At some points you may need to loosen the bolt on the bottom of the wrench to continue turning. Takes a little muscle to turn at some parts, much easier with gloves. For those confused about the lines, it is the "lower" line. The line dips so that when you have a shaft number (10, 15, 20, etc) aligned with 0 on the handle the text isn't covered by the handle. The "click" is very distinct. I can't speak to the accuracy; this is a pretty inexpensive wrench though. I will say I didn't break any bolts and my car hasn't fallen apart, which if that continues is good enough for me. Be careful when ordering, there is a ft. lb. and an inch lb. version of the wrench, make sure you selected the one you want.

Good
This is a great wrench for those who enjoy working on their cars. If you have space in your garage or house to store all these handy tools, then by all means, buy it. However, for those who live in an apartment, you can probably do without it.

Worked like a champ
I have used this torque wrench on wheels and brake pad/rotor changes and it works great. I have used it at levels from 25 ft lbs to 80 ft lbs and it's easy to use and adjust. Other reviews are accurate: the higher the torque setting you want, the harder it is to turn the handle. I had trouble above 65 lbs., but the neck near the ratchet head is flat, so I used an adjustable wrench to hold it in place while twisting the bottom. That worked for me, all the way up to 79 lbs. Granted this is the first torque wrench I've ever used, but using different settings on the same job the different torques were noticeable - so relative to its own settings I would say it works. I cannot attest to its accuracy against higher quality wrenches, but as an amateur mechanic who might use this once a year on average, it's going to be fine for me. It took me a moment to make sure I understood the measurement on the handle. There is an indicator line for every 5 lbs and the handle measures out four more depending on where you turn it. At "0" on the handle, you are at the torque rating indicated on the wrench. If you turn it to "1", add one to that setting. So, at "20" on the wrench and "0" on the handle, you're at 20. Turn the handle tighter to "3" (the handle moves towards the head as the measurements go up), you're at "23" (20+3). The "click" at the desired torque is audible and easily felt in the handle. All in all a solid, easy to use torque wrench.

Nice torque wrench
Nice torque wrench for your money. Accurate enough for light duty use.

Not the most precise...
This will work for simple jobs. Definitely not professional equipment. If you're a fairly savvy shady tree backyard mechanic and you know what you're doing, you can get by with this. I've used it for a few valve cover jobs and even that is approaching quite questionable... but they were my own cars. This would be perfectly serviceable for plenty of other tasks... but for a serious automotive mechanic I would suggest something better, especially if you're working on other peoples vehicles.
