A Captivating Read
This is the really good, nerve wracking, completely engrossing follow-up to The Trouble with Spells. It comes complete with detective work, spying and arguing. There is heartbreak, heartache, and loss.Author Lacey Weatherford does a fantastic job creating a story that is so captivating; it is hard to put down. With revelations at every turn and a very interesting plot, this is definitely a cover to cover read. There is not a lot of character development beyond what is learned in The Trouble with Spells, and this book is also plagued with the same typo and editing problems. Other than those issues, this is a very good book. 4 1/4 stars.

Of Witches and Warlocks #2
I chose this rating simply for the trueness that Lacey chose to continue on with the storyline that picks up where book 1 left off from. I read a comment about the numerous times (negatively speaking was the comment someone made), she had the couple confess their love for one another but that didn't' bother me, nor did it affect nor deter me from continuing to read to the end. The story was good and enjoyable, pushing me now to book 3. I'm glad I treated myself to books 2-5, on my Christmas gift, my Kindle Fire...I downloaded book 1, to go with the set. Now I can share them, and 're-read them over and over again.

Interesting plot, but Not Worth It.
I read the first book completely I do understand that this is a YA book. I don't want to chew up this book and spit it out. But to give a honest answer on how I feel about this book I might have to.At the end of the of the first book there was plenty of room for this series to really start growing with plots, twist, character development and so forth. This book gave none of that. The book still claims that Vance is very powerful, really nobody but the author really knows that for sure since there was nothing in the book to really prove that. Magic still causes no tiredness or weakness, no mental fatigue after using it (even Luke Skywalker had to train to learn how to use the force) these characters can do it all.Honestly this whole book could be summed up more than easily with in 1 to 2 paragraphs and not very much being lost in the translation.Vance and Portia kiss a lot. Plot Spoiler won't mention, but it will come into play with being a senior in high school at this point. You have a bunch more kissing in front of everybody. You learn what the demon kiss is in about 1 or 2 sentences. The author continues to say Vance is very powerful (would have been nice with a very intense battle scene). The 1 fight scene very weak at best, and over just as fast (so both Portia and Vance could continue to kiss).Hate to say but that was as interesting as the book got to me, and after trimming the fat off of the book that is all that is left of the book with the exception of a few minor details. I do agree a lot with what Beth "bethohio3" had to say about the writing style of the book. This book had a lot of that it could have offered but didn't follow through.

Fantastic!
No spoilers.Fast paced, and a real page turner.I loved this book as much as book one, if not more! At least I didn't have to pause to read the next book (three) this time, as I'd bought book three at the same time as book two - but I couldn't get three open fast enough.I do believe I've found another Favourite author. This series will be going onto my 'read again pile' for sure.Loved it, loved it, loved it!

My review on Demon Kiss
This is book two in the series Witches and Warlocks. Vance and Portia's characters are maturing, traveling from their small town out of state and to exotic places, and new people are falling into the trap of Damien, Vance's evil father. They form new alliances and discover the secrets run deep and are sickly. I like that Portia is learning her self worth. She's getting a backbone and kicking back. Every time I thought the suspense was slowing down, it rose to new heights.

gets better
Second book is better than the first. Am now going to buy book three. The mushy stuff gets a little much sometimes, however the community and family closeness is outstanding. This series reaches down deep into your soul and is a very nice read. Try it u won't be sorry!

More exciting than book #1
This book picks up where Trouble With Spells left off. Vance & Portia reunite and then look for Damien. The story gets darker from here as V&P search for Vance's father, Damien, and they discover about the Demon Kiss. Damien sounds like Satan himself making you afraid for V&P and what they'll find when they do find his father. If you enjoyed book #1, you'll enjoy this and the rest of the series.

Don't bother
This series is not worth the time or money spent reading them. This book wasn't the worst of the series but I would not recommend continuing on. Every book leaves you needing to read the next, hoping the characters mature, and actually start to use magic but no. And the last book's ending is such a waste!

Demon Kiss
I love, love, love and did I say love this book. I love Vance, swoon. I love Portia and Vance's relationship, the chemistry they have and their intensity is amazing to read. You want to be Portia, you feel like you are living her life. Lacey has done an amazing job of bringing her characters to life. Portia has grown up quite a bit in the book, I think she seems a lot more mature than sixteen but she has been though a lot more than most would go through in a life time. There was a lot more action in this book, which kept me gripped. I didn't want this book to end but the build up, kept me reading on. There is laughter, friendship, love and tragedy in the book, there is something for everyone. And a gorgeous big diamond ring.I really didn't think I would enjoy this book as much as The Trouble with Spells, but I loved it even more. My favourite quote from Vance to Portia; "You will never be my servant. We are partners, equal to one another in this relationship. I will never do anything to dominate you. " Now who wouldn't want this sensitive, motorbike riding, leather clad, smoking hot demon.

Brilliant
Written in Portia's POV . It's well written and all the characters are lovable. Whilst I got a little fed up with the constant 'I love you' it's a really good action packed story. I love Vance, he's so sweet and is Portia's protector and soul mate. Vance has a fear that his evil father will turn him into a demon and hurt Portia. Things come to ahead in this second book, I'm so glad that the books have all been published as it ends on a cliffhanger and you are left wondering ...WHAT!! So far I'm really enjoying these books... the two books I have read in this series are suitable for young adults .......

love this story
Actually my favorite books i've read for a while. i have loved both books and really like the characters, especially Vance. Love the plot line around him and Portia. I sometime wish that Portia was abit stronger with her powers but other then also a great character. Love the fact that Vance has also got a bit of demon in him now as well. cannnot wait to get the next book when i'm paid

little dissapointed
i have to say I enjoyed the first book more than the follow up, and was a little dissapointed as by now the characters were set and it could have gone further into the plot and personalities instead it was more about what the next thing weas they were going to eat or cook and I found it rather repetative which was a shame as the first had potential

The demon kiss(of witches and warlocks)
The story was not bad, but felt it was filled with "I love you",every other page and what's with this visiting thing mentioned every time someone saw someone they saw earlier in the day! Strange. Not the best book.

The demon kiss
Another great book gave it four stars tho as the first was better, some of the description in this one didn't seem to be from a 16 year old girl and did babble a little but great story line and ending leading into another book =) Defiantly worth 1.99
