Q: Can you store flour in it?

Yes you absolutely can, I've been using this container for flour storage since 2016 and am about to replace it because after nearly 6 years of regular handling the lid broke...great for food storage

They are not stackable. At least not designed to be. You can in the sense of if you wish to balance them, but the lids and bottoms do not match up. I was hoping they were but would not buy if you were intending on this.

Q: I realize that this is a 10-pound container but will this hold 17 lbs of dry CAT food, not DOG food, since the cat food morsel's are so much smaller?

17 pounds is 17 pounds no matter what size the pieces are. One 17 pound brick weigh's the same as 17 one pound bricks. Same with cat and dog food. Answer, NO you can not put 17 pounds in a 10 pound container.

The dimensions are 12"tall x 9"wide at the widest point at the rear of container and 11.5" deep
