How long can this last in storage without being recharged?

I do not know the maximum length. We had some that were lying around for a year or more and we were able to recharge them.

I see mixed reviews. Does this or does this not work with the KA500?

We bought one of these for my wife's portable radio. I do not know if it was a KA500 but it was an exact match. It was 3.6 volts. The original batter pack lasted about two years. After about a month, my wife told me it would no longer take a charge. Maybe, we just got a defective battery pack.

I have an HQ radio with the same exact shape and features as a Kaito. But does anyone know if this will interchange? Same radio, different brand.
