Good quality big purifier
This is a big beast but it can handle a lot of air. Well made and not overcomplicated to use. Seems to work very well. Very quiet at low setting.

There are multiple reasons why this machine is a good choice
I did a lot of research before buying this and I'm glad I did, I have severe heyfever and this unit has helped tremendously. The reason I picked this particular purifier is: 1. It has a very effective sensor which means you can leave it on all the time and it will spin up and down automatically to remove any pollutants present as and when required. This means it's quiet and energy efficient and just gets the job done without you even knowing it's there. 2. When you turn your light out at night, it automatically goes into nighttime mode, turning off the majority of it's lights (and dimming the remaining two) whilst slowing the fan down to the point where it is virtually silent (I can't hear it anyway). 3. It has a proper carbon filter not a impregnated sheet like many other machines. 4. It's filters are in the correct sequence to get the most life out of them and it also has an easily removable, cleanable (like a tumble dryer) pre filter to protect the main HEPA and carbon filters. Many competitors omit this reducing filter life. 5. Its just the right size. Big enough to be able to run very quietly during normal operation and clear a room quickly if you had to (for example burnt toast setting off the smoke alarm) and yet not too big to be crazy expensive. The consensus seems to be if you need a more powerfull unit than this you are probably better off buying two units than a bigger single one. 6. It is properly certified and Winix have a good reputation for building solid high performance machines which are great value. The thing that stunned me the most was just how sensitive and quick reacting it is. My partner had been in the garden and walked in the room and it pretty much instantly detected the pollen coming off her clothes and ramped up for a few seconds to clear the air then span down again. If I had to say anything bad about it, it's that it doesn't have a way to run in auto mode without having nighttime detection on. Because it's so hot at the moment we are closing the curtains which is sometimes leading it to prematurely go into night mode.

Very powerful
Purchased this to use in a room I've set aside for pipe/cigar smoking. It shifts a lot of air, and very quickly clears the room of smoke and stops the air getting thick, but does nothing for the odour - you need fresh air ventilation afterwards, and a good cleaning regime, to deal with that. Leave it on auto, and it will automatically boost up when it detects air pollution, dropping down to low speed again once all is clear. It also has a light sensor, and puts itself into night mode when the room gets dark. Couldn't be any simpler to operate. No Wi-Fi connectivity, but seeing as it takes care of itself anyway, I'm not fussed about that. It's a nicely styled unit, not obtrusive or overly big. The noise level on maximum is definitely noticeable, but on speeds 1-3 is more akin to a desk fan. Feels well built, and has an intuitive control panel and a front cover that attaches magnetically. The prefilter can be vacuumed off in situ, while the carbon and HEPA filters simply slot in and out through the front. Replacements are reasonably priced and easy to get hold of, and there are numerous generic filters available which are even more cost effective. Good unit for the price, and I'm impressed by its performance so far.

strong filtration and quiet operation, but limited smart features.
The Winix Zero S Air Purifier is a mid-to-high-performance home air cleaning unit designed to handle spaces up to around 100 m², making it suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, and open-plan areas. It uses a four-stage filtration system with a pre-filter, activated carbon layer, a True HEPA filter that captures tiny particles like dust and pollen, and Winix’s PlasmaWave technology that aims to neutralise viruses and bacteria without producing harmful ozone. The unit also includes automatic mode and sleep mode features that adjust fan speed based on air quality and reduce noise and light output at night, which many users find convenient for everyday use. Air Appliances +1 On the other hand, while the Zero S generally receives positive feedback on its performance and quiet operation, there are varied user experiences regarding the accuracy of its air quality sensor and how it displays real-time readings, with some owners reporting inconsistent indicators. Like many HEPA purifiers, its effectiveness also depends on room placement and regular filter maintenance, and it doesn’t offer advanced smart integrations such as app control. Overall, it’s a capable unit for improving general indoor air quality but may not satisfy those looking for fully automated or premium smart features. reddit.com

If you have a medical condition..
Do not buy the smaller air filters. I have A1AD, which is basically COPD. I'm very sensitive to pollution now, both outdoors and indoors. I used to have an older 2014 model plasma wave and it's still working strong but I couldn't take it with me when I moved. Being broke from moving I decided to buy a cheap £30 air filter with apparently HEPA and carbon filter (V important). However it became noisy, and the carbon filter got saturated very fast as there wasn't much of it. Aka waste of money and my health suffered. This is expensive but, like the last one I bought, as soon as I plugged it in, fresh beautiful oderless air. I'm not sure how effective the air monitor is compared to my older model it doesn't scream red and blow like crazy when I fart or anything, kinda disappointing. But it works and the design is nicer, smaller and more user friendly when changing filter or moving it. It's also quieter. This is a top piece of equipment. Looks it and feels it. The blue light also goes off at night and you can turn off the plasmawave for germs. Practically 0 noise even on normal mode. Very pleased.

The product page mentions 1 Hepa And 4 carbon filters but the package only has a Hepa and a single carbon filter. Either there is a mistake in the listing or false communication

Worth every penny. Room always smells fresh, filters are easy to install. You know when it needs replaced when it takes on a copper color. Bare in mind, these units work WELL meaning they do collect A LOT of pet fur and hair. Keep this in mind if you are a pet owner. If your pet sheds a lot, you will have to vacuum the front and back of the first filter daily. If you do this these HEPA filters will last much longer and the fan speed won't ramp up as often if in auto mode. The color light indicator is nice, but I trust visual inspection more than the sensor when it comes to knowing when to change the filter. Great filters, great device.
