Casters and Latches
The cage is very sturdy and functions as advertised. My problem is with the latches and the casters. The counter sunk screws do not sink far enough and prevent the latches from working smoothly. I had to grind down a few of the screw in order for the latches to work. The casters do now swivel smoothly. One has to be manually turned by hand.

Very disappointed in locking mechanism
Just received my crate and I can tell you now my 75 pound Shepard will figure out the locks in less than 5 mins so I will have to chain the door closed. Very disappointed in locking mechanism. He has figured out more difficult locks than this in less than an hour. I also think the door could be a couple inches wider. It's a crate for a big dog with a little door. I may end up sending back. Too many things I don't like about this crate. I will see if my pup will even enter it.

Wanted this to work but my dog busted out
My 55lb Belgian shepherd broke out of it. We were on vacation and she tends to freak while we're gone so I can't entirely blame the cage but I thought this thing would contain her. She bent the metal on it, the metal tray and busted out.

This dog cage is very sturdy!! My pit bull destroyed the cheap wire cages. We have been using this cage for 3 months and she has not been able to escape or damage this cage at all!!

Solid crate for 45 pound American bull dog
This crate is pretty good. I found it fairly easy to assemble, but there was one small piece that I didn't know what to do with (as a previous reviewer mentioned), and I later figured out it screws into a hole underneath the door to secure the base of the crate, so it doesn't shift around when your dog is it in. I did not use the wire bottom, as I found that a little strange for my pup to lay on wire all day, I used the metal solid bottom. My pup wouldn't go in the crate with the metal bottom, which I assume was because she didn't like her nails on the bottom, but went in fine when we put a blanket in there. Our pup use to flip her old light weight crate and escape. The good thing about this one is that she can no longer flip it. But she has figured out how to unlatch the top door and escape (I'd love a video of how she does this!). I don't fault the crate for that, just mentioning in case you have a very smart escape artist! She hasn't figured out how to unlatch the front door though, and we bought a lock for the top door so she can't open it. Our pup is a 45 pound American bull dog and pit mixed. She is a chewer and bent wired on our old crate. I can see chew marks on the bars of this one but none of the bars are dented at all, so they must be strong enough to withstand her strong jaws!Overall I'm pretty happy with the crate and it's doing much better than our old one.
