These guided reading strips can be really helpful in a class of readers, especially those who have trouble focusing or get overwhelmed by large amounts of text. There is some evidence that different colored filters can help people with dyslexia process words and letters better as well.The material is sturdy enough not to rip easily, but flexible enough to bend. If folded, there will be a permanent crease. The colors are duller than they appear in these photos, but the color combinations are accurate.

The darker colors, such as red or green are a bit difficult to read through. Lighting makes a huge difference. The clear and lighter shades, yellow, have excellent visibility. The are very flimsy and bend easily. I've used this to assist my child with staying on task while reading and completing school assignments. The different sizes are very useful. I would suggest doing away with the darker shades. Luckily there are several in the package but I don't feel I'm getting my full amount spent due to the darkness of the others. My child ended up using them as book marks but that was not the purpose for purchasing. Sadly there are more dark shades than lighter colors included. Also they crease easily when bent.

Help the little girl to stay on line. Be able to see the difference between letters d/b/h etc. so helpful.

Some of these will work well but others the color is so dark it would make it hard to read.

These color sheets were super helpful and easy to use. We purchased these for our son to carry back and fourth to school in his folder. The color sheets are super durable and a great addition to his learning materials.
