This is amazing!!! It really helps to boost your regular allergy meds when you are in difficult situations such as at a friend’s house who has cats or tons of people out there mowing. I keep some in my purse for those just in case times. The price is phenomenal and the comfort of knowing it’s available is priceless (but don’t increase the price). Highly recommend!!!

This saved my dog and my wallet! My rescue Pitt who’s about 87lbs has always had issues with her skin. When we first found her she was close to having staph due to uncontrollable itchy skin. Even after years of buying top dollar medicated Shampoos and applications nothing ever really completely took her itch away. We did a good job of restoring her coat and healing her skin but there was just something that constantly gave her skin issues ..... especially in spring. Come to find out it was GRASS. She was literally allergic to grass. How the vet explained it was that her issues were underlining. Her skin couldn’t be completely healed by shampoos and sprays for itchy hot spots because It was her genetic cells that make up her body that caused the issues. So every spring we would have to give her steroid injections to help her get through. Until Apoquel was developed! We loved Apoquel! And at this point we would gladly pay $80 for a 1 month prescription if it would completely make her comfortable. But after a while finances changed so I needed to find a good replacement. After buying this I spoke to the vet about her dosage. For an 87lbs dog he recommended 4 4mg tablets every 6-8hrs. I started her off on 2-3 tablets depending on the day and that seemed to work just fine. I started with a smaller dose because you never know how a the dog will react to a new medication. She stopped trying to rub her body up and down the fence to scratch, she stopped rolling on her back and groaning until she was out of breath. She stopped everything. My vet said that before Apoquel came on the market, the vets used to use this medication in its place. And depending on the pets severity they would also add Hydroxyzine to the dose. Now I can’t say any review on Hydroxyzine because this product worked very well for my dog and that addition wasn’t needed. Sorry it’s so long but hope this helps! Updated: So spring has progressed. And after about a month using this medication I can honestly tell you that it’s not working for her anymore. I’m not saying this medication doesn’t work. I’m saying that her allergies are just extremely severe. It may help take the edge off but it definitely doesn’t take all of the itchiness and inflammation away. I guess we’ll be going back to Apoquel.

Priced right and works very well. It is recommended that you first check that it's ok to take with other medications. Doesn't always "play well with others" but it is very effective. Have taken myself for years.
