Instructions need to be way better
Railing arrived a little scratched and abraided (I hope those areas don't rust). The tools included really are not up to the task at hand. Took FOREVER to install, but it seems to be sturdy enough—after much effort!

Safety Bar Substitution!!
After having four strokes at my age getting in the huge sauna tub wasn't as easy as it was years ago. I was trying to find something to help me be a bit more independent in getting in and out of the shower. Along came this unit what a blessing I am 298lbs and very prone to falls so the weight limit on this was awesome. My tub is 7ft long by 4ft wide and has rounded edges so those clamp units were worthless. I had this installed direct center of the tub and directly into the floor / floor joist. I now have the freedom to take showers anytime I want instead of when someone is available to help me. AMEN!

Cheap Construction, Railings not Lined-Up, Pieces Don't Align
You get what you pay for. I bought three of these railings and ALL THREE had the same issue: If the base that bolts to the cement or deck is carefully squared-up on the step so it looks lined-up, square and even , the top railing handle doesn't point straight as it should -- it points off to the right or to the left, pretty dramatically. It looks crooked and sloppy. So you have to drill and attach the base CROOKED to make railing point straight! All three of them were off. Just pure careless manufacturing. As for the hand railing piece, it connects to the upright post with four hex screws: two in front, two in back, in pre-drilled holes. But if you properly tighten those screws the railing sleeve becomes misshapen and squashed. Looks even more sloppy and crooked. But if you don't tighten the screws enough, the railing wobbles. So, the final installation produces a crooked railing and a crummy looking joint/sleeve where the upright tube meets the horizontal railing handle. Now, these are cheaper than many other railings, and they do provide all you need for installation, including a big masonry drill bit, the expansion sleeves/bolts, etc. But my recommendation is: buy something else, something better, OR: buy the 1-to-2 step version which is much sturdier though a bit smaller. It has the top hand rail welded to the upright post rather than the holes/screws. These seem to be constructed in-line with at least some minimal Quality Control (QC). So, it you choose the 2-to-3 step version, be ready to take your chances as you adjust for the careless construction and slipshod alignment. Otherwise, you'll have a crummy-looking, crooked handrail and four big 1/2 inch holes in your steps!

Works fine for what it is for
This worked fine for aging parents just to have something to hold onto if balance starts to slip. Just needed something that we didn't have to drill or connect to the house.

Holes drilled wrong and strips screws, parts not included
The holes were drilled wrong so the screws did not fit. The bit that was supposed to be included was not included. We were asked not to return it and instead take a credit. To save stress, we will make it work. But this was an extremely poor quality product.

The Rail Works Fine for My Application
This installation may not be ideal for some, but for me, I didn't want to drill four 3/8" holes in my steps or my concrete, so I purchased a very heavy solid concrete block and installed the rail on the block. I also glued the block down to the concrete....it is actually very sturdy but probably not OSHA compliant! :-)Overall I am pretty happy with the rail, as others have mentioned you have to drill the holes a little off center if you want the rail straight, other than that, for the price, this is a nice rail!
