59cm 4 Zone Induction Hob with Flexi Space

used gas always before but decided to change to induction. needs getting used to but once you have mastered its great, clean and quick. Hole size was exact as per the gas hob so no further work needed and easily fitted therefater.

Fitted this as a replacement for a gas hob and it is so much better in every way. Fitting was very simple as it just dropped into the cut out for the old hob and it comes pre-wired so just had to connect to the box on the wall below the worktop.First thing I did was to turn off the bleeps so it only makes a noise when powered on and off and for an alarm. This is just my preference.I chose this model because of the slide controls. No having to select the zone then multiple touches of the + & - keys: Just slide a finger along the relevant slider or touch the slider at the right place to select the power setting.Unlike the gas I can reduce the power right down to just keep the pan warm or up to full power in 18 steps, plus the P boost setting. So it is far more controllable than gas, and as for cleaning just wipe over with a wet cloth then polish with a dry microfiber cloth, takes seconds.I haven't used the 'My menu' features yet but even without them the hob is everything I could want, and I wish I'd got it much sooner.
