Beautiful
I love Parker pens. I've been buying them since the 1965 New York Worlds Fare. Parker has always stood by me. Functional, doesn't break, and a great warranty from Parker. I used them in the field while in the U.S. Army.

Beautiful Pen, even better in person, it has a nice weight and size. Excellent Quality.
The design is very nice, it is a beautiful pen, it's got a good weight, size and a smooth twist to position. Writes great as Parkers do. Certainly giftable, anyone would love to have it!

Pretty, stylish pen. Giftable
I'm not knowledgeable in the world of luxury pens, this is the first expensive pen I've tried. I think it's a very good looking, quality pen. You can see the quality of the materials and feel the weight in your hand, which helps make it comfortable to write with. I love the color and design. It writes very smoothly for a ballpoint. It comes beautifully boxed and presented, very nice to get for yourself and very giftable. The price isn't too out there, however I don't know if I'd risk taking it out of the house and losing it! All in all I'm glad I got to try this pricey pen and it is very nice. For me, I'm going to stick to my cheap gel pens.

Fantastic, elegant pen!
When it comes to ballpoint pens, I have an interest in luxury pens. Especially pens from PARKER. I grew up using PARKER pens, known for its arrow shaped pen clips, and they do make inexpensive pens but they are also known for their high-end luxury pens. For those not familiar with PARKER, back in 1888, George Safford Parker applied for his first pen patent and his philosophy was "It will always be possible to make a better pen". And in 1884, Parker would invent an anti-leak system know as "Lucky Curve" and was a break-through in ballpoint pens. Create quality pens, Parker catered to a high-end crowd and inspired by the Art Nouveau movement, Parker would launch his gold and sterling silver Parker Snake pens. In fact, they are still sold as limited editions and a Parker 18K Gold and Silver Snake Limited Edition Fountain Pen (limited to 500 pieces in gold and 5000 pieces in silver) is sold for $13,250. The company would develop a Parker Trench pen for soldiers in 1914 and sales would surpass $1 million in 1918. Fast forward to 1993, PARKER releases the first version of their Sonnet pen, utilizing the use of the Cisele pattern from the original Parker 75. And in 2015, Parker announced enhancements to their Duofold and Sonnet collections encouraging people to slow down, organize their thoughts and embrace better thinking. And now I am review the PARKER Sonnet Ballpoint Pen which is available as a fountain pen, a rollerball pen and a ballpoint pen. According to PARKER, the PARKER Sonnet pen is handcrafted in France and is individually checked for flawless quality and is full of meticulous details. The pens are engineered for precision and is perfectly weighted and balanced to optimize the twin channel feed and collector system ensuring even supply of ink to the nib. The version I am reviewing has a premium metal, blue satin varnish barrel witch palladium chrome finish trim and an etched silver cap highlights with an intricate diamond pattern. It has a medium point with black ink refill and comes in a gift box. The pen is just smooth. Using this pen is just smooth and leaves no mess and the overall pen is elegant. I love the fact that the chrome arrow clip stands out but I do like the diamond shape patterns of this pen. But it's a pen that will last a life and the good news for those investing in a PARKER pen, will be happy that the refills are inexpensive. In fact the Parker Quink flow's are only $12.99 for a set of two packages (each with three refills) or $16.99 for a set of 10 refills. The PARKER Sonnet pen is offered in four types. The black version features a black opaque lacquer barrel and goes for $106.63, while the blue satin varnish barrel and the other two versions go for $164. Overall, PARKER makes high quality pens and for those who are looking for a high end business/office ballpoint pen, the PARKER Sonnet pen is recommended!

Not worth the price
It does all the work as a pen and gives great writing experience. Looks nice but much nicer in the photo. However, those are not only things you expect from a $100 pen. The pen is pretty light and cheap. It does not give you luxury feeling like other big brand pens.

Quality Parker Pen with a Price to Match
I have been in love with Parker pens for a long time, from when my dad bought our very first one from Costco when I was a little kid. Even back then it was around $25 for a pack of three pens, and even then I thought it was expensive. They were the shiny stainless steel type with a black or blue bottom half. It looked pretty plain now that I think about it, but even back then I can remember the quality from its heft and sturdiness. When I grew up and started collecting my own Parker pens, about ten years ago, I bought the better looking all silver Parker pens that were priced at $25 for one. But that was the extent of my collection, as I didn't think I would find something as nice as these Sonnet edition pens. I have included a few photos so you can see some real life examples for yourself - this pen is simply GORGEOUS. I got the version of the silver bullet top and aqua blue bottom, and it looks fit for a king. The top half is bigger than the normal or entry-level Parker pens. It is ornately designed, conveying a look of regality and elegance. The writing feels smooth and effortless, just like how all Parker pens are. And that is because the inner ink tube is the ballpoint type that all ballpoint Parker pens use, and which you can buy more of, including here on Amazon. To be honest I am not a pen savant so I don't know the reason for the big price difference. When you hold it and use it you can feel the quality ooze all over, but that doesn't mean the other Parker pens are any worse. So it's all based on the aesthetics of each type, and if you feel like this one is worth about six times as most other Parker Pens. At the very least, they would make a great impression as a gift for your big boss or someone you really look up to.

Writes very well and of good heft. Buy a Sonnet not the IM series.
