After 3 years, still great guitar!
After 3 years, no issues! The sound has improved with age. As others, ended up sanding down nut and saddle to lower action, but the guitar has been everything I expected given the price. Would recommend Recording King.

Don’t be fooled by “All solid wood construction”
If I could, I would give zero stars. Amazon came through perfect, the product just wasn’t quite what I expected. Two lessons learned:1. Don’t buy a guitar online2. All-solid wood does not make a bad quality guitar goodI would not recommend a recording king guitar to anyone. They play like a toy, even for the money. Don’t let the features fool you, this is a cheap guitar. The neck was set so poorly that the guitar could not play between the 10th and 12th frets. It would have cost 60 bucks to ship it in for warranty work. Waste of time and money at that point. I sold the guitar on craigslist for 100 bucks because I realized it wasn’t even worth the 60 bucks to have this guitar fixed to be in playable condition. There are some great guitars to be had in this proce range ie. Yamaha FG and FS. Just my experience

Pretty darned good but take some precautions
I own Martin, Taylor & Breedlove guitars. The ROS A9M is my third Recording King. If you're looking for guaranteed perfection in a solid wood guitar then look to M, T or B and spend $1500-$3000. They are worth the money. If you're willing to put in a little work (or visit your local luthier and invest ~$100) then RK delivers a pretty amazing product. In my experience, the setup and fret finishing is well below the standard of a premier guitar or what you'd get from Yamaha at $250. It's a $100 fix at a luthier. And they DO ship some stinkers, so have it evaluated and purchase where returns are allowed. I have seen RK bridges pull up and, having fixed one, it appears at least partially traceable to their build technique. But those were used and somewhat abused guitars. If you treat these like campfire guitars they don't hold up. Premier guitars might not either - but who does that?If you're looking for a turnkey awesome guitar this may not be a good choice. If you're open to a little adventure and take the precautions outlined above you'll wind up with an awesome guitar at ~1/4 the cost of an alternative. Will it last 100 years like a Martin? No idea.

Can't be beat for the price.
I know these Asian guitars can be hit or miss, perhaps that explains the 1 star review on here, but the one I received is an incredibly sweet guitar for the money. No, it's not a Martin, duh. What it IS is a boxy, woody, punchy lil' thing that plays great & is surprisingly loud. I did file down the saddle to my liking, which I would do on any guitar, other than that it was ready out of the box. The neck is perfect, frets are surprisingly filed properly (a rarity for cheap imports).... I have dozens of fancy acoustics and wanted a 'beater' that's safe for beach trips, drunken parties, heavy handed friends etc. This is perfect for all of the above and certainly is NOT a beater.
