I bought several of these for the "boys" (aged 65 - 10) for Christmas and they are really enjoying them. They have held up through all the crashes so I can't complain. I found out later that the local slot car racing shop has tracks only for 1:24 scale and not the 1:32 as they advertised so if you're interested in racing on the big tracks make sure you confirm the scale with your shop. We ended up purchasing a small track for home and it works fine for our Saturday race matches. P.S. I have a red car so it always wins!

I have a number of Scalextric slot cars. All my previous cars have in line motors. This one has a sidewinder motor which moves a lot of weight to the rear of the car. This causes the car to fishtail. I prefer the inline configuration. It doesn’t say that it’s a sidewinder in the description. In the future, I will return any car that’s a sidewinder.
