Thrustmaster T-Chrono Paddles - High-Performance Magnetic Paddle Shifters for SF1000 Wheel

I've never written a review for anything on Amazon but I feel compelled to write something as I am so impressed by this purchase. If you haven't got time to read my full review then all I'll say is this... Buy it. It's MEGA! I am a huge racing fan (Everything from F1 to old bangers) and christmas of 2020 my older brother brought me a Logitech G29 for my playstation 5 and myself and many of my friends have taken great pleasure racing on that wheel (mainly playing the F1 games). After three years of wear and tear I decided I needed an upgrade and I wanted something slightly more 'professional' with the intention of maybe competing in some sim racing one day? So after months of research (and saving money) I purchased the SF1000, the T-GT II Servo base and the T-LCM loadcell pedal set. Yes it was expensive but compared to everything else on the market it's an absolute steal! It was relatively simple to set up and it fit perfectly with my existing play seat. A huge difference is learning what all the buttons do and which ones are X, triangle, circle and square which took a while to get used to. After getting comfortable I fired up F1 23 and got out onto the track at Silverstone which is a track I'm familiar with and pretty quick around. I was immediately blown away by the HUGE difference from my old wheel. The force feedback is immense. It's an arm workout in itself and gives you even more appreciation for the fitness levels of professional drivers. The display on the wheel is incredible and gives you so much information throughout the lap. You can feel every single bump of the circuit and have a far greater feel of the car not only through the resistance from the wheel but also through the pedals. I noticed immediately I had far more confidence in the car and could break later, turn more accurately and get on the throttle sooner which had an instant impact on my lap times. I've only spent a few hours racing since purchase but I can't wait to do some more. I would advise anyone wanting to do some serious immersive racing to purchase this setup. It's not for the faint hearted as it's a beast and it does take a while to get your head round all of the controls. It's put a huge smile on my face and I can't wait for my mates to have a go! Very good repilca if you’re interested in buying formula one wheel if you’re on a low-mid range budget. if you have a console you do need a device with windows to do an update if you’re looking to have the telemetry display

Great wheel makes me feel like a boy again when I’m gripping it tight sliding through the bends. This wheel is a must have for men that want to feel like boys again. Grip hard but drive even harder the track is waiting for you.

Functionality: Great for F1 games Buttons: Good mapping especially on PS4 console Gaming experience: Going through corners and hairpins are a breeze with this wheel. Ease of use: Very easy to set up. Update the firmware on the wheel rim and your good to go. Value for money: Compared to other high end wheels it's still good value for money Responsiveness: Very responsive.

The stock SF1000 paddles are a VERY solid piece of kit - giving a chunky clunk every time you press them. Some may prefer this to the lighter, more "traditional" click these T-Chrono paddles provide. I chose to upgrade because my stock paddles had started to miss shifts because the factory foam pads on the magnets behind the paddles which were there to... kinda, sorta... make them quieter had slipped and started getting in the way of the paddles operating. Not ideal, but removing them seemed to fix the issue at the expense of making them even louder. So I gave these a shot. There are no magnets on these shifter paddles, just a metal push/pull rocker which presses a plastic button on each side. You can still shift in either direction with both hands, but the overall feel is very different. There's still a definitive click to the action on them, but much less of a bump - it's a smoother feel. Theoretically I guess this would allow you slightly faster shifts, but I think it's negligible and the real value here is in how quiet they are in comparison. In some ways it's surprising to me that they went with the magnetic shifters as stock vs these as the construction on the T-Chronos seems simpler / cheaper - but if you're looking for a quieter / smoother shifting experience they're well worth a try.

The Thrustmaster Ferrari SF1000 Wheel Add-on is a fabulous piece of kit. Being a console user I cannot opt for the myriad of other sim equipment, but this is all I ever wanted. Beautifully presented and an extremely well built wheel. Looks fantastic with the real carbon fibre front and the milled metal gear paddles and dual clutches. Being able to use all the additional buttons and dials adds so much to games. My Assetto Corsa Competizione setup is now perfect and I don't need to change anything in the MFD. To date the only negative I have, and it is nothing to do with the wheel itself, is that more titles do not fully support it. GT7 for example only pushes minimal info to the wheel and does nothing to take advantage of the many dash layout options. If you don't mind, I need to go and do some more racing 😉

It’s so much fun to play with this. It feels like a real F1 steering with so much more control over the game. And it’s overall better experience to play with this rather than a round steering, more control and realistic feel. In case you’re wondering, I’m using this with my Thrustmaster T300.

Lo compré para el cumpleaños de mi hijo. Tenía un volante más básico y dudé bastante porque hay que comprar por separado la servo base y los pedales, y se sube bastante el precio con respecto a los volantes que ya traen todo incluido. Aún así muy satisfecha con la compra porque el volante es precioso y de muy buena calidad. Mi hijo flipó con el regalo.

I’ve had this rim for about a year and a half now. Absolutely love it. Surprisingly light weight and the grips feel solid. I use sim racing gloves from Moradness.Com and am able to feel all the buttons and turn all the knobs and dials easily. That’s right, they’re not just for show like the previous Ferrari wheel. Great for immersion and the data you get is valuable and very accurate. I have had a minor issue with the wheel losing connectivity with my F1 23 game from time to time but I have it far more often than I don’t. Definitely make this purchase if you can.

Ce volant SF1000 (pour Scudéria Ferrari) est génial ,cela fait deux ans que je l’utilise et c’est suffisamment immersif de piloter avec ce modèle pour apprendre à piloter en SIM Racing, ce n’est pas nécessaire d’investir plus pour démarrer , ce modèle offre de nombreuses possibilités de réglage et le ressenti de vibrations accouplé à la base Thrustmaster est génial.
