Ironically, this Microsoft loop holds my Apple Pencil to the aluminum keyboard of my ZAGG Slimbook case for iPad Pro 12.9 better than any of the other loops, clips and sleeves I have tried. Note that I also bought the Amazon purchases: "Fisher Space Pens Chrome Clip for 400 Series Bullet Pen," which works well for what it is (see it in the picture), but did not allow me to keep the pencil with the iPad case; the MUJI penholder clip (couldn't hook it to the case and not small enough to keep on the pencil), a magnetic sleeve that did not contain a strong enough magnet to keep the pencil from falling off; one of the many faux leather quivers with elastic strap to wrap all the way around the keyboard (pen is securely attached to the keyboard, but keyboard does not lie flat and it looks like a craft project); a set of soft, round, puffy cord clips that would not stay stuck to the aluminum case and which made the keyboard wobbly over the marshmallow-shaped clip; and one of several similar loops meant to glue onto paper notebook covers (did not appear to be a permanent fix). Don't waste the same money on all of these alternatives - If you have one of the aluminum keyboard cases for your iPad pro, this device allows the case to close while it remains firmly in place, and allows the keyboard to rest fully on the flat surface.

It looks and feel as the one that comes with the surface tablet. But its glue is weak. Came off in about a month of not so heavy usage.

I spent months trying to find a new case form my iPadPro. None of the cases that would fit my version of iPad had an Apple pencil holder. Since I was being so picky about the case, I ended up settling on one that fit my needs without a holder. Once I had the case, I set out on finding a pencil holder that would mount onto the case in a low profile way. This product succeeded in every way. This product has been on my case for several months now and has not stretched out, is perfectly snug with my 1st Gen Apple pencil and shows no signs of loosening from the case.

It's hard to take the pen out and put it back in. The loop is very floppy.

Good. I'm satisfied with this product, but it's kind of expensive.

I lost two pens using this loop. Both times in airplane seatback pocket.

What more needs to be said. These work on pretty much any surface and are made of good quality. I have used them on various tablet and phone cases and shared these at church and after a year or so of use I still see these same ones being used.

I looked at buying some of the custom pen loops / snaps that have been created with 3D printers that are on the site. I still may, if this ever fails, but it is doing the job well.
