Well made, excellent sound.
Have had these for 3 months and have a lot of hours on them. Great speakers if you like the classic British sound. Will require you to position them correctly, but that's no different from any other decent pair of speakers. Like one of the other reviewers I am using Cambridge Audio components. Recommend AXA35 rather than AXA25 for a bit more power. The comparable NAD amp ran hot and worried me so returned and the comparable NAD CD player was DOA (you can buy straight from the NAD open box store on eBay with easy returns but Cambridge Audio has a similar store there, too). Have Cambridge AXA10 streamer and DacMagic 200M and Yamaha S303 CD player used as transport. The streamer is the best piece of stereo equipment I have ever bought, and I started back a long time ago with Dynaco A25's and an AR turntable. If you haven't got one of those you should consider one as there are some really good ones now that are priced well (WiiM for example). Get what sounds good to you...everybody's ears are different.

Highly recommended
Great size, great price, even better sound. Wonderful mix of heavy bass with crisp highs. I’m in my 60’s and it’s been a while since I enjoyed a room full of sound. I like my music loud and these Wharfedale speakers do the trick.

These are great speakers.
The sound quality is really great. The only reason I did not keep them is that another pair of bookshelf speakers I auditioned had more detail in the treble and upper mid-range, were "airier," and did a slightly better job of sound-staging. My father had a pair of floor-standing Wharfedale speakers in the 70s. They were amazing. I really wanted to love these for the nostalgia, if nothing else, but I kept the other pair because they they sound was more to my taste. I have listened to six different pairs of bookshelf speakers in recent months. If you like slightly "warmer," English sounding speakers, these are the best you can get in this price range.

old ears appreciate sound quality
Sept 2021. Delivery was prompt. No damage to the box. These are British design loudspeakers. Their price range makes them a very good pick for those on a budget. I have them connected to a Cambridge Audio AXA25 integrated amp and a Cambridge Audio AXC35 budget CD player. Both also of British design. Being retired, I have to watch my budget, but I do still appreciate quality sound. PS....... I have them pointed inward, for "near-field" effect. Makes a difference in a small room.
