It had one job. And did it well.
Did exactly what I needed to do. I was surprised how well it worked.

Not too effective on dead heartwood, Works better on live wood.
I got this to carry along on hikes in case I came upon a small tree down on the trail. I tried it on a old dead branch. It easily cut through the outer 1/4" of surface rot on the limb. Then when it got to the still solid heart wood, it quit cutting and jammed in the wood.My verdict is out until I have opportunity to try it out on a living wood tree.I had a chance to try this out on a small tree that a beaver had dropped onto a trail that I hike. It quickly cut through the branch until it got down to about 1" diameter and then it would jam. But by then, the limb was small enough to easily break the rest. So my verdict is that it is worth the investment.

the tool you did not know you needed
brilliant tool! and actually faster cutting than I had anticipated. It saved me from a tree guy who wanted $350.- to cut one Mulberry branch, JUST out of my reach that was hitting my internet cable

Works Great
Put a rock in sock, tied it to some rope, and tied some rope to this pocket chainsaw. Threw the rock/rope/chainsaw over the limbs about 20 to 25 feet up. It cut the limbs ranging from 4 to 6 inches in diameter without issue. Very sharp out of the box, cuts quick once you get it into position.

WoW
I bought this thinking I would probably have issues cutting through a 6 inch limb about 20 feet up the tree but decided to give it a try. What a surprise! After attaching a rope to both handles after throwing one end over the limb (one shot got lucky) it only took about a minute and a half to sever the limb. My mailman walking down the street said "great one man job".I was impressed as to the ease and speed of this tool....now i"m lookin' for more limbs ☺☺

Does not cut that well.
Hard to use and gets stuck a LOT. It was only able to cut live soft wood.

Buy a pruning saw
Very labor intensive with minimal results. It’s small , easy to pack but used my folding pruning saw with better results.
