Live Marine Phytoplankton - 8oz Bottle

Received dead phytoplankton, it separate green and clear water.. 😔

I put some of this in my saltwater tank to ensure the copepods had something to eat while colonizing a new tank and holy wow did their population explode after getting a taste of this stuff! Now the tank is acting as if it is a well established tank and I no longer need to be concerned about providing food for the copepods. But I only needed a little bit of this to add to my tank so I am unsure what I should do with the rest and feel bad about tossing it out. I wish the seller offered smaller bottle choices. I would highly recommend this stuff if you are trying to establish a copepod population in a new tank! I is apparently quite delicious to them!

Bought this as an additional type of feed for my half gallon brine shrimp tank. They seem to do really well with it, as their motility is off the charts lately. 'm still testing dosing to figure out what will work. It'd be awesome if they had some even smaller bottles for sale, but I'm probably unique in that need. I'm going to be trying to culture some as well for my own fun/experimentation and to share with a friend. It does seem like these consume a fair bit more than I'd expect for their size compared to what the vendor/reviews suggest for copepods, etc.

I've ordered from Mercer of Montana many times. Each time the phyto was excellent quality. If they error they go over and above to make things right. Thank you Mercer of Montana. I plan on ordering your phyto more in the future!
