Very clean looking, it replaces a clock that was on our bathroom vanity with a base that was corroding from the moisture! Given it's glass base and surround that won't be an issue. We didn't need the alarm and haven't tried it. It doesn't take much space which is good. It does have a mirror-like trim around it but that looks good with our chrome fixtures. This was the best price that I found anywhere. Good buy!

I like the look of the beveled clear stand. It gives the face of the clock the look of suspension. It is a nice size for on top of my desk shelf without looking bulky. The face itself is a 3" diameter with a white background which makes it easy to see the time at a glance. The one I received is silent, not even a ticking sound. I've only had it for two weeks and thus far it keeps excellent time. My son even remarked how unique it looks. Very satisfied with this purchase. I don't need the alarm feature so can't comment on whether it would be loud enough to wake oneself up.
