“I had this idea in my head that love was synonymous with pain. But we finally get to stop hurting now.”
What a ride! This book series was action-packed (all kinds of action “wink wink”) and filled with intrigue. The series ends well, even though I wanted more information on how things were resolved, and overall I really enjoyed Summer’s story. Even with all the darkness she was able to find strength and light and that was the best part of the story. At times the series felt very immature, with just how some of the characters acted, which was meant to bring levity, I’m sure. I felt that Summer was super wishy washy and it made it hard to like her completely. I also struggled with Dr. Miller. Not his character himself, but just that while they’re in the midst of all the chaos and hiding from the law, that they had to get a therapist in to see Summer and V. I would’ve rather they just be adults and tried to figure stuff out on their own. Don’t get me wrong, Summer definitely needs therapy, but it just felt weird and forced and almost dumb in the setting. But I think overall it was a great read. The story was fast paced and it definitely threw me through a few loops that I wasn’t expecting. I had hoped for more revenge with Donald, but I’ll take what I can get. I would also love to read a epilogue that is set in the future, just to see how everything really turned out. How did they clear Summer’s name? What happens to Eli? Kins? Liza? What happened to V and his reputation? How does Miles act after everything and having to change his life? So many unanswered questions that a short epilogue could answer. But, oh well. There’s enough closure for me to enjoy the accumulation of the story in this book.

I liked this book and the series
I know that in some ways this series felt like a long episode of the TV show Angel (or maybe the 1st Batman movie) with the brooding super hero and running parkour over a city. But I really liked the overall story. As in all 3 books, I had the biggest issue with someone like Don who had such power to wipe records and all the monitoring/stalking/tech stuff. Then again, this was a fantasy tale and in the end a life long love won out. I am happy I bought and read this series. The only thing I didn't like was I was not shown the collection/box set for $9.99 and instead had to buy the books separately for a bigger price. Going forward I'll have to remember to search a series by collection in the search.

Hooked after reading just a few chapters!
This series is my first time reading anything from the author. I actually downloaded the first book on Kindle without realizing it was a series. I absolutely did not hesitate buying the other two books and finishing them all in just a few days. I highly recommend you give it a try!

Read all three books in 24 hours...
I came across the first book of the Made of Steel series scrolling through my facebook feed. I popped up as an amazon free kindle book. I said why not? Downloaded it and was enthralled from the start. I immediately downloaded the second book of the series. As soon as I finished that one, I was downloading book 3. Holy wow this was a fantastic read and an instant favorite! I didn't want to put it down! I sent the amazon link for the first book to one of my friends and told her she would thank me.This series quickly became one of my favorites and held me tight in the storyline with all of the intrigue and suspense. I guessed fairly quickly who V was and was incredibly happy when I was right. I think I would have been furious otherwise. I know that I will be reading this series again, likely very soon. It's a wonderful series and I look forward to reading more stories by Ivy. This would be a series I would 100% buy a physical copy of to avoid my battery running down before I could finish reading it again. It's a wear out the spine kind of read.If you're questioning whether or not to read this series, I can say that you absolutely should read it. You will not be disappointed. Dive in and enjoy!

Couldn't put it down!
I read this whole trilogy in 24 hours. Great plot: the story is not predictable, with many surprises & twists that made it a solid, action-packed, all-go no-quit story. I enjoyed the character development. The romance was good. The solid mystery throughout was the Vigilante's identity. SOLID & satisfying ending; no cliff hangers, all loose strings are tied up.My two chief complaints are the roller coaster that was Summer's brain. She was a victim of trauma, so some is to be expected, but there was a LOT. Roller coaster of emotions, back and forth with what she wanted. (E.g. She liked a guy because he loved all the pieces of her, then decided he only loved the broken pieces, the decided he loved all her pieces, then decided she didn't actually love him.) Also, her mental self-doubt was a LOT: it alternated with a fear of being weak and a determination to be strong. That strength dwindled every time at the drop of a hat until the last book. The other complaint was the four lost months between the second & third books. Only a few things were said about this time (she was a b*tch to everyone, pushed everyone away, and trained with the Vigilante). It would have been great to see the development throughout this period, to have seen her get stronger and more capable to fight.Despite the complaints, it was a good read!

A Phoenix
That is what I feel Summer represents and I guess Miles too. I was hesitant about this book because I read some negative reviews. However, I liked the flashbacks. It gave a more thorough background of what Summer 's family life was, her relationship with Miles and who she was as a person. I also understand why she chose the one character of the triangle for a while. Sometimes you fall in love with someone because it is easy and safe, but that love is not true love, but love none the less. But she finally faced her fears and also realized who she is and she ended up surrounded by love. It is funny, I originally hated Liza. I thought she was hateful and spiteful, and uncaring, but in this book I realized she just did not have social skills and she eventually figured some things out. By, the end of it, I was like "good job slut" (if you read the book you will understand) In the end, I learned to love and appreciate the whole group. Even when things were revealed, this author still had a surprise for me at the very end, and it was icing on the cake.

Uma história simplesmente maravilhosa. Eu super recomendo essa série. Além do amor vivido pelo casal principal, temos muitos momentos de drama e tensão. Adorei!

suspenseful rollercoaster of a ride
All in all a solid conclusion to this series Made of Steel. There were a few times I wanted to shake Summer but for the most part I was happy with how this story played out.

Best Series I've ever read!
WOW! I read all three books in this series and I was blown away. I have read many romance and thriller books, and after awhile the storyline is always the same. However.. this book completely rocked my socks. Apart of me is sad that this series is over.Very well done and out of the box.
