HDMI to RCA and HDMI + 3RCA CVBS AV Converter with Zoom in/Out Function, Composite Video Audio Adapter Splitter, Supports 1080P PAL NTSC for HD TV Camera

The audio out, which I directed to my stereo receiver, did not work at all when HDMI out is also connected. Just thumping static. Returned defective product and ordered a different, cheaper brand. Same problem with that product. Turns out that you need to split the HDMI BEFORE connecting the HDMI IN to this product and then use only the RCA audio OUT to a stereo receiver. After you connect the HDMI in, you can use HDMI OUT or RCA out but not both.

This device does a decent job of converting HDMI to RCA, but the zoom function on this only zooms OUT 6 steps then resets to original video size. I needed something that zoomed IN so I could eliminate black borders I was getting, this only gave me bigger black borders. I guess this device was designed to eliminate overscan and not for my problem on the other spectrum. There are cheaper alternatives if you just want a straight converter box without the zoom function.

I got this hoping I would be able to squeeze an anamorphic image to 4:3 letterbox. None of the zoom options offer this. The zoom here is only helpful if you need to fix overscan. The HDMI to RCA conversion itself looks good. I would only recommend this box if you have a 16:9 display.

Doesn't work. Waste of money.

Unfortunately the zoom function does not allow for proper switching between the 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios...it simply keeps the squeezed anamorohic image and allows you to pull back on it...but it is a good unit if you need a way to extract hdmi audio and convert it to RCA out.

My wife has sentimental attachment to an old CRT, so we use this in order to watch it. It works fine for what it does.

Product works as described. Well made and good value.
