We all know the #1 cause of houseplant death is overwatering. But how do you really know when they want it or not. The "stick your finger and inch into the soil" method never really worked for me. The soil is cool so it feels damp, but is it? It's worse for outdoor plants where the soil is warm. Now, I just walk around the lanai poking the pots to see what needs watering and what doesn't. Life saver! I've recommended it to friends as well.

Gave one to my sister as a gift and then one for myself. It's really helpful for those of us who are not naturally gifted in plant care.It's sensitive enough to show how drenched the bottom of the pot is compared to higher up.

After a couple months of very light use, the tip broke off in the soil of one of my plants and it no longer works.Adjusting my rating to reflect the response from customer service to refund and replace my item.

This is a must have for people like me who struggle with plant care but love having indoor plants. Easy to read, easy to use, seems to be accurate. I love knowing exactly when to water my plants after killing too many of them. The length is nice even for deeper/tree pots. This is a quality water meter and this was actually my second time buying it. My child lost my first one checking the water outside in the yard somewhere after having it for about two years. It’s apparently that exciting to use. I would buy this again if another is lost because it works so well.

This works as it should. I am one of those people who can easily over water so this has been helpful for me, especially with those more "sensitive" plants that prefer to be more dry than damp.

I have used this product a total of 4 times and the testing rod has bent and is now useless. I guess you get what you pay for, I do not recommend this product, cheaply made!!
