Just started using this product and I figured out how to make it and get it to taste like real milk - warm water. Mix NFD with warm tap water and chill to get the consistency and taste of fresh milk. I recently used this product for pudding and my family couldn't tell the difference when made warm and chilled before using. For baking, you could just use with your dry ingredients. Even whipped up well in a recipe for whipped topping. Take note, that it does have a "chemical" smell when you first open it but it's not from chemicals in the milk, it's from the oxygen absorber in the seal of the lid. Once you open the container, you will dispose of the paper seal with the absorber and that sent will eventually dissipate. Also another reason I recommend mixing with warm water (not hot) Only downfall so far, is that it doesn't have added vitamins, BUT in their defense, I don't know if it needs them.

I wasn't sure about the container,2.5 LB the powder is heavier than milk powder I am not sure why, normally 2.5 pounds would fill this size of plastic container.

Tastes good like 2% milk. Will buy more. Just mix with warm water shake well(I use an empty clean milk jug) put in fridge over night, and it’s great.

I had seen the reviews about a chemical smell, but I read the good reviews too and decided to go with them, which was a mistake. The smell is chemical and makes you feel like the milk is a health hazardous to drink. I had tried it before I noticed the smell. The taste was bland, not as good as other powered milk I've tried. Because of the awful smell, I threw this powered milk in the trash. It was a disappointment and a waste of money.

I didn't have the experience with this product that some reviewers have, but I don't prepare it to drink as milk. I use it to make homemade hot chocolate mix, and it seemed fresh and was fine for that purpose. But I am NOT happy that the price has gone up 33% in just over 3 months since I last ordered it. So for that reason, 3 stars and I probably won't be ordering again.
