Works well to eliminate “dead mouse” odor. Rejuvenating the product works well too.
I get about 1-3 mice a year in a crawl space in my basement. I set up sticky traps in the opening to catch them. But I don’t always check often enough & the mouse stuck to a sticky trap gives off the usual “dead mouse” smell. I triple bag the sticky trap W/attached mouse and freeze them until trash day. I’ve used microwave method to eliminate any residual odor in the product in the past.. It works great. Unfortunately the refill I ordered at the same time wasn’t in the box though “my orders” on Amazon said it had arrived. I r requested a replacement using chat (didn’t seem like a person so assume is automated). If it arrives, all went well w/this order but next time I’ll order the refill container separately to decrease possibility of the refill being omitted. Not a big deal since I’ll be using the original inside the cloth bag for a while as these last a long time since it can be rejuvenated (from past experience that works well). For past orders, microwaving to “regenerate” or remove the odor from the product has worked great. But when it’s warm enough, I’m going to try putting it in the sun when it needs “rejuvenating” as after putting it in a microwave that I cook food in makes me a bit nervous so I clean/disinfect the inside of the microwave to make sure it’s sanitary (likely the microwave killed anything that might cause that but dead mice creep me out) I don’t recall the option of putting it in the sun to rejuvenate in the past, but I probably just missed it when reading instructions on back of package. I’d recommend it as it definitely removes any residual odor which is very noticeable when the mouse dies. Not sure this is humane though. Need to do a better job of filling my bait traps that r outside the house along the side where the mouse usually gets into the crawl space. This year was very cold & only one mouse died. I’d recommend this.

Open window works much better
Unfortunately, this product does NOT live up to its claim at all. I have just a small space, a tiny bathroom. A rodent expired inside the walls. I followed instructions, the product did nothing to lessen, much less eliminate, the smell. Save your $25 and open the windows for a couple of days.

It Worked For Me!
To make a long story short--after noticing a terrible odor coming from our bottom kitchen cabinets that didn't go away after removing everything,(no dead bodies in there) cleaning, and repainting the insides of the cupboards, we figured a critter of some sort had somehow gotten in and died in the wall behind the cabinets. Before going to all of the expense of hiring a professional to tear out part of the wall, I went searching for something that might get rid of the terrible smell. After reading many reviews I decided to give this stuff a try. I tied the bag around a sink pipe, and left the cabinet doors open with a floor fan blowing air into the space. It took a couple of days, but the odor is totally gone. I intend to keep the bag hanging in there awhile longer, just to be on the safe side...Yes, it IS expensive, but it was money well spent, as it did the job. Supposedly you can refresh and re-use this by putting it out in the sun for a few hours, and that is what I intend to do, before using it again. (But I'll really be happy if I never need to use it in the future!)

This product did not work quickly but the location of the smell from a dead rodent was in a very tight spot near the motor of my SUV. It was a metal shelf-like ledge. The odor came into the SUV on the passenger side, near the glove compartment but the cabin filter did not have any odor. I put the Smelleze on the floor of the SUV right under the glove compartment but this did not work at all. After 4 days, I took some of the Smelleze out of the bag so I could fit it right onto the metal ledge under the hood of my SUV. I had to really push it down so it sat right on top of the ledge where the nest had been. After about 5-7 more days the odor was about gone. I think this will finally get rid of the odor but because the area was in such an occluded space, it had to be placed right on top.

Ok
I think it worked some in our shed but I’m not sure it was any better than baking soda but a least I did not work about having it spill when we getting the lawn tools out

Doesn't work.
I bought two of these for the elimination of the smell of a dead squirrel in the outer garage wall, and they didn't make any difference whatsoever after 5 days. I wasted almost $60. Do not buy.
