Right now, I’m loving them in a hearty beef and veggie mix. The quality from Clear Creek is top-notch, and it’s reassuring to support a Montana-based brand. These are WONDERFUL! I love that they cook faster than generic lentils and at this bulk discount I have switched to these completely. These have higher protein content and a better chewier texture than regular lentils and they cook up perfectly with basmati rice. The bag doesn't reclose though :( but thankful I had several leftover large empty protein powder containers. I haven't found any foreign matter yet and I have been basically cooking from the bottom of the bag that didn't fit in the containers.

Black lentils are my favorite kind. I make mujadra every other week. These were very good and reasonably priced.

The description calls these black lentils "emergency food supply." But there's nothing emergency-like with these. You can eat these every night and not grow tired of them. They aren't called Beluga (after the caviar) for nothing! They are easy to cook - no presoaking needed - and have a smooth texture with a generous taste. Additionally, these are non-GMO, meaning they are as natural as natural can be. Lentils have provided top nutrition for thousands of years, and these lentils can proudly take their stand next to them. These will be shelf stable for years, so buy them in bulk. You will want to eat them often after you try them!

I love that these lentils look like Beluga Caviar. They are smaller and cook very nicely. I love the burst of flavor they have. I got them to cook for my dogs meals but I tried them myself and they are very tasty. I just added butter, salt and some garlic. Very nice flavor.

Taste great, should last a lifetime however bag doesn’t store great. Wish it had a better bag for storage purposes.
